Easily attaches to the bottom of framed shower doors, using pre-applied mounting tape. The Replacement Drip Rail and one inch Vinyl Sweep offer an excellent solution to help deflect water back into the shower enclosure, without detracting from the look of your shower.
Material: Anodized Aluminum
Finish: Bright Chrome
Length: 32 inches
NOTE: Clean adhesion surface with alcohol to remove any oil. Failure to clean surface prior to installation may cause tape to release. For difficulty installing the vinyl sweep into the aluminum rail, it is recommended to use a soapy water solution as a lubricant.

Works just like the old one but you don’t have to worry about rusty screws. It sticks on and holds tight. No leaks or issues.

This is a great replacement for the shower. Just like a previous reviewer stated, make sure to install it at a slight angle back into shower hinge side and only put the black cap on high side. Easy install. Personally added a bead of silicone on top side and clamped it down for awhile. Still holding down great!

The hardest part of putting this drip rail on is removing the old one. Used an old putty knife to slowly peel the old one off, cleaned the surface of the old adhesive backing, cut the new rail to size, stuck it on, used some clear silicone to along the top edge, installed the end plug on the handle side and did not install the end plug on the hinged side to allow water to drain back in the shower, done - works great. Note: while it may seem obvious - you might want to install the new drip rail at a slight angle to the hinge side of the door to allow the water to drain before opening the door. We had a problem with one door that when you opened it, water dripped on the floor from the handle side. No longer have the problem now!

Product arrived in good condition. I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews, and indeed, there is not much protection in the packaging. I got lucky there I guess.Contrary to many of the poor reviews, I have not had any issues at all with the installation or function of the drip rail. I did clean the bottom of the door well to remove all build up, then wiped down with laquer thinner. Over three months now, adhering fine. Many of the reviewers noted that it does stop the water from dripping... This drip rail is better than the original... when installing, make sure that it is sloped such that when the door is open, water runs back towards the shower pan. On my 32" door, I sloped it only a total of 3/16", and it works fine. Also, make sure to only install the end cap only on the high side (otherwise the water has nowhere to drain - the instructions do not mention that).

This item purchased to replace a shower sweep from a vintage 1991 shower door. The item was delivered on time and came in a plastic bag. No instructions included so one will have to follow the ones posted on Amazon. Very sturdy metal and a much improved way of hanging the plastic sweep. The tape did not hold the item to the door frame so screws were needed to secure it to frame. I don’t think I’d trust the tape to hold long anyway. Once up the water leak from shower into bathroom has stopped. This is the only product that I could find that seems to solve the problem of a deteriorated plastic sweep on an old shower door. Recommend.

Product is an exact replacement for the drip rail that was there when we bought the house. Good production quality and easy to size appropriately. Unfortunately, unlike the product picture, this product came with the double sided adhesive tape already applied to the rail. Not wanting to strip the tape and apply a high quality brand, I installed the rail against my better judgement. After the first shower the rail became loose and fell off. Similar to other reviews I read before purchasing I am now forced to either screw the rail into the shower door or strip the tape and apply a higher quality adhesive that is truly weather resistant.

I couldn't find the right replacement sweep for my existing shower door, so I decided to replace the whole drip rail, which comes with a new sweep (the plastic flexible part that stops water from escaping under the door while you take a shower). I have a chrome frame shower door, probably contractor grade standard. A new drip rail was much cheaper than replacing the whole door. The drip rail was incredibly easy to install!I simply unscrewed the old drip rail then cleaned and dried the surface really well. The new drip rail came with double sided mounting tape for installation. I was doubtful of this at first, but it was much more durable and suited for this project than the double sided mounting tapes in the big box hardware store. Be careful as once the tape is in place, it will not move or adjust! I cut the drip rail to the size of my door. A simple hacksaw was all I needed. It only took a minute. I cut the tape to the length of the rail, and stuck it on. Then I practiced positioning the drip rail, pulled off the paper and stuck the rail into place. It was in very solid. Be sure to install the drip rail at a good slant as its purpose is to drain water back into the shower. The sweep slid right into place. I trimmed the sweep to the length of drip rail and below a little based on the gap from my door to the shower frame but the latter might not have been necessary. The end cap for the drip rail popped right in and fit tightly. The kit came with both right and left end caps.I took the shower door off, but that may not be necessary to install the drip rail if you don't mind crouching down. The whole install other than taking the door off and putting it back on was 15 minutes. Be absolutely sure where you want the drip rail attached as the tape is permanent. It is a great product, and easy to install. I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.
