We can’t seem to pinpoint the exact reason, but dogs seem to love it. I mean let’s face it, every small dog is different so their main reason for loving it would be different. You know the feeling, right? The one where you love something (or someone) for many different reasons, but there’s just this one thing you particularly love that just stands out for you. It’s the same for dogs… they have feelings too. Some dog owners say it’s the pain-free zipper – because of the zipper guard that prevents the dog fur/skin getting accidentally zipped. For some it’s the material – it’s water resistant, snow resistant, warm, comfy and lightweight. Others like it because it’s easy and fast to put on. We think it’s because of the way the dog vest has been cut – it doesn’t restrict movement and they can even pee with it on… without making a mess. Or perhaps it’s just something else you can tell us about when your dog wears one. All we know for sure is that dogs seem to love it and they all have their reasons.

This vest keeps my old, arthritic dog so warm and cozy, she's started falling asleep in the middle of the floor after finishing her morning treat when she has it on, compared to only sleeping in one of her many beds when she doesn't. I also can't believe how great the quality of the vest is for the price!

As per usually gooby does not disappoint! This coat is fleece lined and quilted and very warm. The snap is heavy duty and is great for holding coat in place while zipping making it very easy to put on. Very pleased with this for my tiny yorkies that don't have fur only hair and get cold. The second one for other dog will be here tomorrow! Best coat I have ever gotten for them. Would definitely buy again. The extra small fits my 5lb yorkie perfectly. Ordered the small for my just under 7lb yorkie and will see how it fits when it arrives tomorrow.

Although my little dog can't speak, we have a really strong bond, and I can feel that I know what he's thinking. With his waging little trail, he asked me to write this review, on his behalf."I love my new jacket! I love the color (turquoise)! It makes me feel like the coolest dog on the block! The b_____s seem to love it too! They keep coming over and barking! Asking me to let them into my yard! If only I could reach the latch to the fence!""This jacket keeps me nice and warm and is made out of the same materials that my master's jackets are! My master loves the zipper on the back and the attention to detail in the craftsmanship! It has this layer of fabric that does not allow my fur to get struck on the zipper when he zips me on and off! He simply unzips and my cool jacket falls effortlessly to the ground. Allowing me to simply walk away. It's so easy to put on and take off. I don't get my little legs all twisted and curved to get my arms through perforations!""I feel so warm and toasty during the frigid mornings when he takes me out to pee. And my pee doesn't wet my jacket because it's design has kept that area clear and open!""I can wear it all day and night, but my master takes it off when it starts getting hot out, so that I won't dehydrate. Our 22 lb Frenchie loves this jacket. We ordered the XL because she has such a barrel chest. Since she’s only about 14” long, the jacket is a bit long on her so we have to make sure we fold the back up before she poops! But other than that, we love that it zips at the back (so much easier to put on since she can just step into it) and that we can attach her leash directly to the vest. The outer material is water resistant and the inside is a soft grey fleece. The colour is amazing and the quality is very good. I wish I had a matching one for me. She gets so many compliments.

This jacket is a perfect fit for my almost 7lb/3.1kg chihuahua - I bought the small size. It also fits my slim 3.7kg mixed breed and have ordered one for him in the same size. It feels as if it will be a lovely warm padded jacket for the very cold winter days, the fleece lining feels lovely and cosy. She hasn’t worn it yet as it’s too warm so i have no idea of it’s water resistance. It will be very useful not to need to put a harness on the dog, it’s what attracted me to this jacket. I’m hoping that both of my dogs will feel warm, comfortable and cosy this winter.

This dog coat is very smart and beautifully made. Although it will keep your pet snug andwarm, it is not waterproof.

It's a "puffy coat," which I couldn't tell by the Amazon photo but is just what I wanted. It's thicker and better made than I expected, covers my Havanese just right, is easy to put on and take off. The outside fabric, probably nylon, will repel water (we're in the Pacific Northwest), and the inside which feels like flannel but might be lightweight fleece, will help keep him warm. The leash rings are reinforced well, so not likely to tear, and there's a snap at the top of the zipper, by his neck, so it holds together there while you zip from the bottom. Heavy zipper, too.Gooby makes clothes and harnesses/vests for small dogs. Max is a Havanese, so even though he is small, at about 18 lbs., his back is longish at 14" (19" chest). The descriptions says to order up a size if the dog's measurements are in between sizes, so I ordered a L, which is the purple one shown in the photos.UPDATE: The Large turned out to be too large for Max. There was always a gap in the front. So I got a Medium in black, and it seems Just Right.The only negative at all is that I don't like the color much, but most outerwear for dogs seems to be in colors I don't like much. This is purple, but it's a really blue purple. Wish I'd ordered blue, and I wish they had teal, maroon, or dark red. But the most important thing is that it's easy for both of us and will keep him warmer and dryer in winter.

Fits my pure breed Maltese well!! We just moved from Virginia back home to MAINE! Burr! Our fur baby has only ever lived in southern Virginia. That being said this is the perfect jacket for our non shedding dog. Dogs with hair instead of fur are not as well insaluted naturally as other dogs and their skin is thinner and their hair doesn’t keep them as warm as fur does.This vest jacket is insulated very well and has a fleece lining. Keeps my baby super warm. Not too stiff for a little dog. Nice and cozy! She has slept in it after a walk. The “D” rings for a leash would only be useful for a non pulling dog for potty breaks or a casual stroll. I LOVE the button at the top of the collar which keeps it on her while I line up the zipper for closure! Also LOVE that it has a zipper cover on the inside of the jacket so I don’t accidentally zip my dogs hair into the zipper because she has hair not fur so it would be easily done otherwise by mistake. I measured my dog according to the size chart in the images and order the size it told me I should based on the chart. I ordered the medium because the chart says if measurements vary go by the chest measurement. And it fits her perfectly! With a little bit of room to keep her warm and accommodate different hair lengths or variations in her weight however she is about 10-11 lbs last few times she has been weighted and has a chest measurement of 13 inches and a length from neck to tail of 18 inches. Also it’s worth mentioning that dog jackets that the dog steps into and closes on their back are really the only way to go, SO much easier then others to get on and off. The other is water repellent, soft and doesn’t rip easily. Great quality jacket! Goes right to her tail too. She loves it! Fast shipping! Will be buying more as gifts! Thank you!
