As I was cleaning out my mother's home after her passing, I kept coming across things I didn't know what to do with. Her nursing degree and nurse's gold pin were two of those items. I set them aside and kept moving forward. Then when going through pictures and snapshots, I found an image of her mother, my grandmother, pinning the nursing pin on Mom at her graduation. Now I knew I had to put the items together. I ordered this frame and a tassel in her school colors from Amazon. I found a black velvet pin support in a discarded gift box for jewelry and hot-glued it into the lower left opening of the frame. I plan to take it to my office on my college campus where I teach and hang it there.Now I can remember my mother (and her educational achievements) and my grandmother each time I look at it. I just couldn't bring myself to toss out the degree and sell the pin. This is a fitting tribute.The frame is well made and was easy to set up with the included mat. It came well packaged, and I used the same package to transport the frame to my office. I recommend this item. Just don't wait until someone dies to bring attention to the accomplishment of a college degree. You earned it, be proud and display it in your home or office.

I decided to purchase this item from Amazon instead of the campus bookstore at the university I’m attending. I saved nearly $200 in doing so, and I have no regrets. Best of all, this item came as a set. I start nursing school at another Uni on August 12, 2024, so the second frame will definitely be used. Don’t hesitate to get this. Purchasing from Amazon instead of your campus bookstore works best!

Beautiful frame at a reasonable price! Since my daughter didn’t get to “walk” in her college graduation ceremony in crazy covid 2020, she really appreciated being able to see her diploma AND tassel presented so nicely. Since she’s already back in class working on nursing as a second degree, I’m glad that I didn’t have to spend too much money! I am about to order another one of these frames so that her degrees will match on the wall—but, if she doesn’t keep them displayed forever, I can’t regret the price ;)I didn’t have any issues centering the tassel at all. Because of the other reviews, I made sure to loop the tassel string through the eye hook and tie it on the side toward the center of the display rectangle. Simply tying the string moved the tassel enough that it hangs centered. She also has honor cords that I think will fit in the tassel window. If she decides she wants them in the frame, I’ll try to remember to come back and add a picture! I used special “Holiday card tape” to hold the diploma in place but I think I need to add another piece to keep the paper smoothly against the matting. It’s a soft tape that protects paper products and peels off cleanly. (I normally use it to put Christmas cards on the walls during the holiday season)

I put a lot of time, effort, and money into my degree, and there is no way I'm paying an additional 2-300 dollars for a frame to put it in. This picture frame is a great budget-friendly alternative. It takes a little DIY to get it situated perfectly, but I'll gladly take some DIY over an extra 100 dollars for a more convenient frame. I ended up cutting up and using sticky notes to secure the diploma to the frame, and then just taping the sticky note bits so that I don't actually have to put any tape on the diploma. The tassel also had to be taped in such a way so that it would hang centered, but it was easy to do. All in all, this frame is functional and professional looking and suits my purposes just fine.
