From the Manufacturer
The Goldblatt Corner Clincher and Mallet is the perfect way to properly seat drywall corner bead. This tool provides consistent, professional results. One strike with the included rubber-head mallet drives the corner bead flush and tight to the corner while crimping the edge to secure it in place. The cast aluminum body, stainless steel head and precision ground teeth make this a superior tool.

Exactly as described and it's worth the 5 stars because it's rare these days to get what is advertised.

The crimper worked well but after just a few corners a bolt and nut fell out and I had to replace them. After that I was pleased with the ease of use.

Like many other reviews said it doesn’t work. Period I was hoping that they may have updated the product so that they don’t get all the returns. I was wrong.

I never thought that this type of tool would help much... boy was I wrong. I'm a convert. This dimpler/clincher/whatev saves allot of time and with very little practice does a much better job than manually screwing/nailing on corner bead. Especially on long runs with multiple pieces... its very easy to use the tail end of the dimpler to overlap two pieces to "auto" line up the spines. It creates identical dimples on both flanges at the same time so the corner bead spine stays straight and the flanges flat... unlike what can happen when using screws/nails. You can also quickly create allot of dimple points if needed with the simple whack of a mallet... again, which takes much more time when using screws.Works great on "hollow" corners where there isn't much framing. The dimples fasten the corner bead to the surface of the drywall, whereas screws need framing behind the drywall. The drywall just needs to be solid enough to pound the corner bead on.Doesn't work as well with very short pieces though... less than a foot. You need to mud or durabond those soon after the corner bead is dimpled. This tool is great for both beginners and seasoned drywallers. Beginners will find it easier than trying to master keeping corner bead straight while denting and bending it with srcrews or pounding it with nails. This model is built well and seems to be very rugged. I'll let you know when it breaks!
