Nice improvement on previous Models, but beware it can control many functions and its default will change your previous settings. As long as you’re aware it’s not an issue, but it will override what you have set on the light itself

I have been using Godox system for about 9 years now. I have almost all the wireless trigger, from X2T, Xpro and now the X3. Finally this trigger has a built in battery. Now I don't have to worry about getting all the rechargable AA batteries. Using 4 AA batteries with the Xpro trigger was really heavy. Now with the X3, there is fully on touch screen, with built-in rechargeable battery that can easily last ally day. The screen is big and clear to read. The setup is same as before, works with all my Godox flash lights. It's smaller, and comes with a storage case, easy to take with me any where.

I have Sony and Canon cameras, R3 & R5.It works great, and the touch screen is the best feature by far paired with the Godox V.

This trigger has set a new standard for me. I can’t look at any of my older triggers anymore now that I have used this one. The screen is smaller than what I am accustomed to using but it is much easier to read than my larger screens. The contrast of this screen is perfect for studio and outdoor work. The physical controls feel great and the overall quality of the trigger is premium.This trigger does not require you to add or change batteries like the older triggers. It has a built in battery that feels like it lasts forever. I get consistent flash pops which is great as I have used older versions and different brands that do not have the consistency that I have experienced here.

I purchased this as an upgrade from the X-pro (I had the mk2, but the shoe broke on it after just a few shoots) mostly due to its construction, size, and the idea of quickly adjusting power settings via the touchscreen.My only complaint would be that turning off a group doesn't tell the camera that the flash is "off" - you have to power down the unit and turn it back on for that (cycling the power takes several seconds, given that it isn't a "dumb" trigger, while the old ones were instant). It'd be nice if it communicated that with the camera for metering purposes, but shooting in manual isn't exactly difficult when you're doing real estate.Otherwise, it's a massive upgrade. The shoe no longer sucks and won't pop with the slightest pressure like the gen 2 triggers did (I broke two in a matter of weeks, gen 1s still work). It's a fraction of the size of the old ones, which is nice for a one-or-two-bag-kit person like myself. The battery life is great (at least at this point, a few months into ownership), and the quick power adjustments are nice.Whether or not all of that is worth $90 (unless you're a first time buyer, at which point the price difference over the regular/pro justifies it imo) is a personal decision. For someone that values compactness first and foremost (to the point of using my AD200 over the AD600 in the field despite owning both), it absolutely is.

Godox makes some awesome photography gear and this new X3 trigger is one of their latest items. It is a fully functional flash trigger wit hall of the control and features you would need for amateur and professional use alike but they have shrunk the size making it that much more portable and less intrusive as compared to their (and competitor) previous triggers. The fit and finish is excellent and the quality is great. What sets this X3 flash trigger apart from its predecessors is its super small size and lack of buttons in favour of a clean and very responsive touch screen. As mentioned, it is fully featured with all of the control options needed to manage your lighting system, utilizing their proprietary 2.4 GHz communication system. This one also includes a built-in Lithium Ion rechargeable battery that takes just two hours to full charge yet offers 5+ days of operating Tim or 6000 flash. This is impressive considering the small size of the trigger. The OLED touch screen is very bright, easy to read and very responsive to touch and swiping. Overall a very impressive flash trigger and I would recommend it.

I'm in love with this device. It has everything I've always wished my remote triggers had; built-in battery with USB-C charging, touch screen controls, quick release connection, it's as good as it gets. The materials feel great and it comes with a really nice little carrying case. It's compact enough to throw into your camera back and not bat an eye. The build quality is fantastic; it looks and feels very nice. The interface is very intuitive and simple to navigate.

Parfait couplé avec l'excellent flash V1PRO qui permet d’avoir un bon éclairage d’appoint en déplacement.Avec 2 unités, on couvre déjà 90% des besoins en éclairage “studio”.Le fonctionnement est simple si on est déjà habitué à travailler avec de la lumière artificielle.Les menus sont clairs et assez bien organisés !La puissance est excellente, permet sans problème du plein pied, il faudra quand même utiliser des modificateurs (diffuseur, box, réflecteur…) si vous voulez une lumière douce et diffuse !
