I have Goxdox speed speedlight and a huge off brand strobe and the hss works. Only thing you have to change the power manually on the off brand strobe. But a hack is hook one goxdox trigger on tip of your camera then sync all goxdox speedlight channels and groups. Connect this receiver via sync wire in the off brands sync port on the off brands strobe set the wired trigger to same channel and group. And controll the off brand power by it trigger to change your desired power level by. It's hard to explain but at the end of the day it works

Me buying this as a replacement for another one I had should tell you everything you need to know. Absolutely phenomenal piece of gear. I have 2 of these attached to 580 EXII's. I can control the output using the GODOX Pro-C transmitter. Never have to touch them again until teardown time. I mount 2 of these in a softbox to use on location, also works well for umbrellas and beauty dishes... very happy with these and will buy again next time I'm a dumb-a$$ and lose one of them.

I've been a professional photographer for 20+ years. I bought this together with the X2T and despite many tries, it will not work. I've tried everything (distance, changing channels, groups, etc.) and it will not pair. I cannot recommend this unit.

I have two of these triggers and I control them with the XPro- C Trigger unit. With Canon Speedlights, you need these triggers to utilize the Canon functions. They work great and they're reasonably priced, too! I'm very happy with my purchases.

Bought this trigger to use with my Canon 5DMKiii and some new Godox AD200Pro strobes plus my existing Canonn 600RT speed lights. I attached the trigger to my camera and then mounted a Canon 600rt on top of the trigger and BOOM! The speed light immediately fired and responded to every command from the trigger. Highly recommend for converting Godox/Canon.

I use this on my canon speedlites to sync with my other Godox mono lights. It works just fine but one big thing is missing:There’s no option to set a code for this unit to isolate your lights from other photographers. The channel and group settings are good in many conditions, but the special 4 digit codes that comes in Ad 200 pro and Ad 400pro can help to isolate your lights from others completely. Just imagine somebody else is using the same channel and group on the same Godox system.

I needed a method where I could use both my Canon 600ex flash units and studio strobes simultaneously. With the camera bracket and this transmitter/receiver (I have two receiver’s and one transmitter from Godox). It worked perfectly, providing enough flash to light approximately 1200 sqft. Saved me a ton of $$ not having to purchase additional flash units.

As a photographer, I love these. There are times you’re not going to be able to do an elaborate set up with full-size studio strobes. I bring a handful of these and some off-camera flashes and I’m good to go for most jobs.

Im using this on my Godox ttl flash. Sometime power can be controlled the after a while it doesn't.
