I use this item to control 4 x Godox TT600 flash units on a water drop rig. It enables me to set different levels on each flash unit depending on the results I am after.

For a piece of kit with this many buttons, operation becomes intuitive quickly. I replaced an X1T with this and am glad that I did. It makes working with groups so much simpler. The items in the menus appear in print, not as some number that requires looking up in a manual. It fully supports HSS. And, it is very important to me that it is tightly integrated with the Sekonic L-858 with Godox transmitter module. That integration allows me to set my Godox light power settings including modeling lamp from my meter.I also purchased a few Flashpoint R2 receivers so that I can integrate my non Godox flashes. These don't allow me to set power on the units remotely, but I can selectively enable/disable flash firing which is great when I'm trying to meter a complex setup. This is a great system. I only have one concern. When I turn everything on sometimes my flash power is greatly increased without my input. This happens on my AD-400's as well as my TT 685's, so it's not the lights. And, the desired flash output levels appear on my L-858 too, so I don't think that is causing the issue. When I change the flash power, even just 1/10th of a stop, everything goes back to normal. Not a deal breaker by any means.I'm glad that I purchased this.

I have both the mark 1 and the mark ii they work just the same , the difference is in the design and a few button placements, i think the small change makes it more intuitive. they trigger my godox x series flashes and strobes no problem

I was an early adopter of the Godox system and the last wireless flash trigger (XPro version). But it was not so great, that I abandoned it and bought the Canon OEM version which worked flawlessly. When I saw there was an upgrade, I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. Wel, I'm happy to report not only is the software better and more versatile, but the build seems slightly better as well. The Godox stuff really can't compare to the Canon build, the flashes are tough and I've never had one fail from rain. But the last trigger had a lousy battary door situation, and they much improved this one. Although it looks the same, this new version is better. Also, it works with the new R5 and R6 cameras, which is great for my work as well. Lastly, it is a partner worthy for the R5 system, I'm glad the upgrade lives up to the Godox reputation for compatibility.

This is a fancier version of the Godox controller I have been using for years. It gives me more channels and more groups to set my lights. And now has Bluetooth connectivity as well and they dazzling array of options many which I’m just not going to use. I’ve always use flash and manual mode and gotten better results than TTL or using any of the automatic lighting functions. So I can’t really speak to that aspect of this. But this unit gives me granular control of all of my strobes without having to go and physically touch them and I love this. I have a huge variety of soft boxes that in case the strobe making it very difficult to reach and this allows me to set change and adjust the lighting without having to open up the soft box. There is a lot more features and functions on this thing to explore but I can already speak to the excellent bill quality and the reliability of the triggering. Apparently they have some firmware updates that can even add functions or improve them. These are probably related to the TTL set ups that I don’t really use that much. But it’s one of those things it’s nice to know it’s there. Occasionally another photographer might use my set up and they might want to play around with that. But this is an incredibly affordable unit for all the functionality you get and I am extremely pleased.

Now my experience with this new XPROIII can see that the battery cover is much better and now also with Bluetooth and the new option to eliminate use of the center pin when connected to the camera.I still manage the bottom in camera to turn flash off via custom bottom configuration and that way I can see in the screen what it is with changes and also I use a set white balance not auto white balance. But with selecting turn off center pin in the trigger will take care of the two issues. But TTL and HSS sometimes are needed and you have to make the center pin functional again and that is why I still use it the way I had been.Very nice updates and improvements in this version and waiting to have this two issues corrected in the future. Is a firmware update can be done would be great.I always love the Brand Godox and I trust their equipment.Bottom line love the Godox line. Thanks for making very well product affordable for us.We all are working together to get the best for all Photogaphers.

This flash trigger makes it so easy to control the off-camera lighting to create just the effect you need. You can create up to 10 separate groups and then even divide those groups into sub-groups. This new upgraded unit now allows Bluetooth connectivity so you can precisely control the light level at your subject with no need to go back and forth to the camera and trigger. I have used the first version of this trigger for over 4 years and I can tell you it is excellent construction and has caused me no problems and now it is even better!
