This product was very helpful to cycle through flash shots faster than without. Having this extra battery size also kept me working when I would usually need to stop and recharge or change batteries. I gave it a 4 star review rather than a 5 because it needed an extra cable that was not indicated in the description.
Does it matter?

This pack is great, except I managed to lose one of the rings that keeps the cables locked in. Where can I get another one of those so the cable stops coming loose?Great pack other than that!

Quick review - Great build quality feel. Easy to use ports. On/off switch is solid, bright led battery life indicators on the controller and the battery itself. Deduct points for no weather resistance of any kind. Built-in belt clip and included straps feel quality. If it lasts me for years it'll definitely be a huge value. That's about it - make sure you buy a cable that works with whatever speedlights you intend to use it with. This powerpac is amazing - transforming your $100 battery-loaded Godox 685 (or many other flashes) into a baby strobe. That's why I bought it - particularly when shooting in challenging conditions, when I need to crank up the flash to 1/8 or 1/4, or do quite a bit of bursting at medium-ish power, I found I tended to get 2-4 solid flashes followed by misses as the flash recycled. With this baby connected, I can now fire off 11fps at 1/8th nonstop which is just total overkill most of the time : ). At full power, recycle time is barely 1 second. Somewhere around 1/4 power recycle time is for practical purposes basically "0" - it just goes. The only concern now is that I take care not to overheat the flash or soak it and the battery in bad weather. That and I don't strangle myself with the cord, which I wish was a touch longer.Other than that, this $100 pack basically adds tons of versatility to a speedlight(s) at a low cost. Does everyone NEED this thing? Definitely not. 60-70% of the time I can live with the slower recycle time of my flash and still get the shot. But if you are serious about your photography and seeking to maximize the use of your speedlights this is a perfect way to save some money (rather than, as I contemplated, ponying up for a portable strobe). With Y adapters you could in theory run 4 speedlights off a single pack. One could get two 685s and this pack for around around $350-$400 and do lot - shoot an event with two cameras, double up the speedlights on a light stand and so on. A single 685 and this pack is cheaper than a 860/V1 and faster and longer lasting than both. Yup - you have to put up with a cord. But for those occasions when the flash is mandatory, it helps to have a major performance boost like this. For the event-style or portrait shooting I am usually doing these days, this thing basically allows me to run one or two flashes like a boss all day long. Its Civic money for Ferrari performance. Highly recommended.
