This versatile and powerful strobe flash gives you the control and adjustment of a pro studio unit, while making it compact and lightweight enough for on the road use. Mounting head style provides lots of options and are widely supported by accessories on the market.

I had the Godox AD600 strobes for years. I have used them for professional studio work for clients all the time, before LED lights became popular. This is the newer version of the original AD600. The function is very similar to the original, but the design is similar to the AD600 pro. The reflector is in the same shape as the body, more durable as well. Compactable with X trigger system. But when connected with the X3 triggers, it can do the one tap sync. Makes sync setting so much easier. Also this one has a built in LED model light as well. The older version model light was very dim. This version is much brighter!! I believe all the batteries, and the AC power adaptor are still compatible with the original AD600 system. That means I can still use all my previous AD600 power accessories. Saves a lot of money for me. This version also comes with an AC power adapter, makes it much easier to use when in-door. One thing is missing from the original AD600 is the carrying case. The original AD600 came with a pretty nice carrying case (standard) that can store all the accessories, cables, reflector and etc. This one doesn't. Carrying case needs to be purchased separately. Overall this is a nice upgrade from the original, not a huge difference but some nice improvements.

These new lights from Godox are fantastic! Lots of power and because it uses Bowens mount, there are so many different types of modifiers you can get for it. It works great with the X3s trigger which is one of the best triggers I've used thus far. Quality product that will help you take your work to another level!

This AD600BM II Upgraded Profession Outdoor Strobe "Flash Light" by Godox is of excellent craftsmanship. This wireless strobe is suitable for studio use but its compact, durable and lightweight design makes it a must have for on location/outdoor use. This cordless strobe light functions impressively well and has recycling times that are equally impressive. Its fast performance can literally handle anything from dance recitals to actions sports. It features a digital menu that makes it very easy to use; and has a very user friendly interface and a fast charging battery. It comes with a Bowens mount adapter which makes highly compatible and a must have.Overall I very pleased with the build quality, performance, durability and portability; and compared to similar products on the market I find it to be of good value and I would highly recommend it.

Really good light with lots of power. I really don't like how hard it is to get the battery on and off though. It's REALLY tight. I have several AD600Pro lights, and the battery (which is not interchangeable, or use the same charger) comes on and off without any issues. That said, it has the new menu system, and takes the same bulb as the Pro lights, and has the same reflector. All in, it's a good light, and great for outdoor photography, and can "overpower" the sun with the right settings.

Compared directly to the Version 1 (I have the flashpoint version, which is Adorama's rebrand of Godox) this version 2 isn't a radically different upgrade. It does have a more stream line design, and a more modern and colorful interface. The quality of the light is equally pretty, and the performance is familiar. I tested this light with Canon, Sony, and Fuji camera's and they all worked great in standard and HSS mode. It say it could go down to 1/512 on the item description but the lowest I could go was 1/256. I tried adjusting it via the XC controller and the onboard wheel to no avail.I didn't have the older version of this light from Godox so I don't know if a case came with it, but the version 1 of the Adorama one did. Not having a case for this light is a little disappointing due to the travel nature of it.This is still one of the best portable flash solutions, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a battery powered strobe. If you have a version 1, I don't think the upgrade is worth the price specifically to upgrade your old version. It doesn't come with a way to trigger it, so be sure to purchase at least a basic trigger.
