These are best filter to run for your dmax on stock fuel system. The aftermarket filter are tighter but you shouldnt run them long maybe one oil change. These most people push out 2-3 oil changes. You dont want to starve that cp4 pump.I run filter mags on my fuel filter there is definitely iron in diesel from station pump and manufacturing, I had black iron on filter walls after cutting with filter cutter. The outside is rough filter inside is very tight micron filter. Outside was dirty, inside was pretty much clean. Seems not much is getting past inside filter unless it's very small to get stuck.I think these filters are bit expensive but you gotta pay to play in diesel world. You buy diesel and think you will have Camry upkeep you need to get yourself checked out.

Fit just fine on my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax. Keep in mind that some of the cheapo filters (unfortunately had some Taiwanese one on it when I bought it) apparently have an insert that adapts it to the filter inlet in the center of the filter, make sure to remove it from the connector before installing the new one, sometimes it gets left behind when you remove the old one and will not allow you to install the new one. The filter appears to meet OEM specs and seems decent, but I might go with a Wix next time since the Wix appears to have even better filtration even though it costs a bit more, but if it meets spec it is likely sufficient to run on it without any worries, personal choice I suppose. This sure beats paying over $100 for the dealer to change it, it is very easy to do yourself and there are plenty of YouTube videos to guide you through it.

This is as good as any of the replacement filters, very reasonable price ($31 at Amazon as of this writing) vs. auto parts stores $50+. If you have changed one of these yourself then you know dealing with the filters large o-ring is a major pain. That o-ring just will not sit in position until you get it placed at the filter housing to attach it - no matter if you use oil, deisel or grease to help hold it. For me the best way to do it is to also stretcchhh the o-ring a couple times like a rubber band - not TOO much or you will damage or even break it !!!! It will then sit in place for a minute, maybe two, before rubber "memory" causes it to pull in and buckle out of position. Stretching will only give you a short time to get it in place so don't lollygag around. Also you have to push the filter up into the fuel filter housing agressively to get the threads of the two parts to meet so you can spin it on. One more note - don't forget the fuel bleeder screw o-ring. Those plastic bleeder screws are a joke (get a metal replacement) but the o-ring ages and needs replacement too. Mine is a 2003 Duramax and that o-ring developed an air leak causing hard-acceleration hesitation, reduced power, hard start and no start issues.
