Modern cars automatically adjust air fuel ratios on the fly for maximum performance and/or fuel economy. For those of us with classic cars running carburetors, checking calibration on the fly is problematic. I chose this gauge over all the others due to its analog sweep. I have seen most aftermarket gauges have a, 7 segment 3 digit, digital display. To me it is much easier to see and identify where the A/F ratio is at than with a bunch of constantly flashing numbers. Especially when driving down the road. Besides, it looks really cool and you can change the background color to match you dash gauges or just because you want a different color for that day.

My glow shift arrived very fast, installation was very quick as I’m not leaving this in the vehicle. Couple of hours to weld in the threaded bung. Hooked some croc clips and powered the unit. Had my over rich super smelly carb dialed in within minutes. I cannot comment how long it will last as it’s not staying in the truck.

Screw what everyone says about the other company out there being more reputable these guys did it right. all the wiring was set up out of the box, and it came with multiple provisions to mount the gauge for your setup. The gauge is way easier to read on the fly going down the road that a constantly changing digital output. Oh and the needle is driven by a stepper motor verses a normal spring resistance needle gauge. (more expensive and precise) This is my new go to setup for tuning custom motors.

Works very well, somewhat helped me get my car tuned. The refresh rate while logging wasn't the greatest though, only recorded around 4-10 times per second. And ideally, you want it to be much higher for tuning reasons. It did get done though, just a lot longer than it should have.

After installing a Kenne Belle supercharger on my '07 Mustang my mechanic recommended that I install a wideband gauge to keep an eye on the air/fuel mixture. I checked out many others and found most of them to operate about the same. I chose this one because I can change the color of the screen to match the other light accessories on the dashboard. It provides accurate readings and was not over-priced.
