Been using this on my test bench for PCIE cards I just want to check and don't have the energy to reach into the box I have the motherboard screwed into. Holds tight in the slot on the board with no wiggle. The cable itself has a good bit of bend, so I don't worry it will get small fractures from rough handling.

super happy with this product! i have two PCIe devices — an RTX 3080, and an Asus Hyper M.2 to PCIE adapter. i’m already using another mount for the GPU, so i needed another cable to get the Hyper M.2 behind it and connected to one of the lower slots on the mobo. and this worked a treat! the cables were bendable enough to let me do a short throw between the Hyper M.2 and the motherboard without any issues.

I have an old Silverstone compact case and the riser card does not support the full speed of my GPU, so I thought I'd give this a shot. The good news is that it appears to work. The bad news is that it's designed for a 90 degree counter clockwise rotation (as viewed from the rear of the motherboard where the outputs are). My case rotates the card 90 degrees clockwise. This puts the screw holes on the opposite side so I can't screw this down into the case. It also causes the ribbon cables, which are quite stiff, to go directly into the case side panel from the GPU.What I'd want is a cable that is either straight on both ends, or with a 90 degree bend in the opposite direction, and one that was shorter or more flexible. The GPU is only a couple inches above the slot and the extra cable just gets in my way. Also, I found out that my riser plugs into another riser (facepalm) so I can't determine for certain if any faults I encounter are because of this riser cable or because of the second riser I still need. If this were a straight cable with no bend, I could have bypassed both. You may want to make sure you do not have any such tomfoolery going on inside your PC case before making a purchase.

I have a Z790 mobo with the Pcie 5.0 slot, and use a RTX 4080 for my gpu. I have been wanting to vertically mount my GPU since I found out my Phanteks case has a spot to install a riser. So I thought I would give this riser a shot.I am happy with it, I was worried my bulky GPU might be too big, Its the Aorus Master, and has a very thick cooler on it. The Riser holds it in place very well, I have had no concerns about it being unstable since I actually installed it. The gpu temp is a little warmer on average by maybe 2 or 3*C max, but this was expected as my GPU cannot vent as well as normal with its fans so close to the glass side display. This is to no fault of the riser itself. Its the case design and where the put they mounting points. The riser performs exactly as it should.I am fine with the slight temperature increase because I have very efficient air flow cooling in my case that keeps the temps from going crazy, even with it so close to the glass I've never seen the GPU go over 53*C.In the end I am very happy with the riser, I would just make sure that your GPU isn't too bulky for a vertical mount in your case before ordering.

First and foremost, it works for my application. This is in a full size E-ATX case with a built-in optional vertical GPU mounting option. I'm running a Core Ultra 7 265K in an Asus ProArt Z890 Creator Wi-Fi motherboard with an Asus ProArt RTX 4070 Super OC Edition GPU card.I ran the Asus GPU Tweak III utility to overclock the GPU to its highest stable condition with the card plugged directly into the motherboard, and ran some benchmarks. The next day, I switched to vertical mounting for the GPU card using this riser cable, and re-ran the exact same benchmarks. The only difference was the GPU temperature, which was 5c lower than with the horizontal mounting. Other than that, all benchmark results were identical and system stability was not negatively affected. There's a chance that I could overclock the card slightly more with the lower operating temperature, but I'm happy with where it's at now.The construction of this product is unique with the two layers of cables that are spaced apart. The impression I get is that this might help with airflow within the case, especially if there are fans on the bottom of the case that blow upwards where the cable runs. The flexibility of the cables is great.I perceived no flex to the PCBs, the female end went onto the GPU card very securely, and the male end popped right into the slot in the motherboard. The traces and cables appear to be of very high quality.Once PCIE 5.0 GPU cards are available on the market, it'll be interesting to see if this riser cable does in fact support those. But until then, I can say with certainly that it works great for PCIE 4.0 cards plugged into a PCIE 5.0 slot with zero effect on performance, and it looks great.
