Had a spare speaker stand and this adapter allows for mounting an Alien Bee flash with a 60 inch bounce umbrella. Very sturdy. Love it!

They could have easily put 1/4 20 or even cold shoe mounts front, back and both sides that would greatly add functionality to this otherwise well made but overpriced item.

Great product. I was surprised and delighted to find the 1/4" tip comes with a 3/8" adapter. It fits my Yamaha Stagepas 100 perfectly. Very sturdy product. Seems like heavy gauge aluminum and the lock-screw is solid. You could put mic-boom on this (with a 1/4" to 5/8" adapter), a camera, or a small amp like I am doing.

This is to mount a camera on top of a speaker stand. My other mounts were terrible and caused the camera to be tilted. This product is amazing and will keep my cameras level. I’m very happy with this product.It came with two sizes of attachments to mount a camera so you will be able to mount a webcam, PTZ optics camera, like mine, or a larger camera with no problem. I bought 4 of them and they all work with no problem.See picture for my old mounts and this new one!! Happy Customer!

For me, these adapters were a game changer. I have a 48 inch motorized rhino slider, with the arc system that I use for weddings. These adapters allowed me to attach the slider to very sturdy speaker stands and helped keep my tripods freed up. I’d highly recommend. There are multiple applications for this product.

Solid adapter, high quality. I like that the 1/4-20 screw in the top can be removed if you need something longer.

I bought this product because I own a red one MX and I was looking to get something heavy duty. I purchased a microphone stand with solid metal legs that would not buckle under the enormous weight. This particular piece is a godsend because it converts the top of a speaker stand into a tripod. On top of this I mounted a bird watcher tripod head which holds over 40 lb. So now I have a more durable solution for supporting my red. If you have a heavy camera definitely get a speaker stand and this piece to turn it into a tripod.

Not much to say, Camera fit on top as did the gimble mount from my tripod. The unit is well made and fit in my speaker stand perfectly.
