Got this for my 15 gallon cube because the output of the nano canister filter was too strong, even on the lowest setting. I intended to get these to damper the flow and distribute it so it wasn't blowing my plants out of the substrate. I was surprised by the nice presentation in the box and packaging. There were several components that were included, and accessories that came along with the tubes themselves. The fit was basically seamless and very little adjusting was required.DETAILS BELOW————————♡✅ STABILE AND STURDY GLASS— i was surprised by the weight and heaviness of the glass itself, which spoke to the durability of it. i was concerned about having to adjust any fittings and having to apply pressure to any part of it and it potentially breaking, but it's a lot stronger than it appears!✅ FIT— the pipes fit seamlessly onto the tubing without having to cut or pinch any part of it, which was a massive relief! i didnt use the crinkle tubing that usually comes with canister filters, but instead used a straight, transparent, flexible, tubing, like the kind that comes with pumps and gravel cleaning siphons. it's a much tighter and sealed fit.✅ FLOW DISTRIBUTION— the output is so perfect or dispersing the flow and dampening the strength in which h it comes out, which is exactly what i needed. the circle output piece spins the flow without pushing it back into the pipe and tubing and allows for it to create a spin-like current in the water column. this is ideal, as i plan to put co2 in the tank later on, i can run a straight in-line tube to the output of the canister and have the water co2 saturated before it even gets out of the output tube.✅ EXTRA/REPLACEMENT PIECES— the set up contains instruction/manual as well as a few extra pieces. there are two skimmer pieces that connect to the intake stem and even though they look the exact same, im assuming they're different because the colors of the plugs that go in the tops of them, are different colors; perhaps serving different purposes, maybe? suction cups are included to hold the pipes to the wall of the tank, and they're decent quality cups.❌ ONLY CON— and this is DIY-able, but i wish there was some kind of contraption that cushioned the tubes from the rim of the tank. especially having a rimless tank, the glass pipes sit right on the glass edge, and even though they dont more around, it would be nice if there was a little extra support to keep the pipes in place and cushion/buffering to keep the glass pipes from grinding against the glass edge.🔷️ OVERALL: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — FIVE STARS! ————————♡these are great quality, surprising a lot more durable and stronger than they appear, and comes with everything you need in the package. the fit is exactly as its stated to be measured in the description so make sure you measure your tubing to the exact mark or have some tube clamps handy to assure that the tubes are completely sealed around the glass pipes. i definitely recommend these for anyone looking to up their aquarium aesthetic and get rid of the ugly black tubing inside. these make your tank look high-tech, and expensive! i love them so much! and so, if you've made it this far in reading my review, thank you tons! please, please, take just a very quick second to tap the button right beneath this review that says "HELPFUL". it would mean the world to me, as i spend a lot of time, and put a lot of effort into writing detailed and thorough reviews ♡

I recommend this product and wanted to pass on a few things to the new aquarium hobbyist, like myself. While I have had several tanks for many years, recently I endeavored to improve the quality of life for my fish. One area that needed attention, was the film that accumulated on the surface of my 11G shelf aquarium. This tank is heavily planted and the filter outflow tends to be localized to the front area of where the water dispenses. That left the right and left sides of the tank with less than optimum water circulation, and the film set in. While not harmful to the fish, it did decrease surface to air exchange.This skimmer is perfect for this tank! I appreciate the thought given to design, esp. the clear glass construction so there is no visual interference whatsoever. The action of the skimmer is gentle, which was a requirement for the comfort of the nanofish who live in this tank. Of note, if you are new to how skimmers work, this product is the outflow piece only, so you will have to purchase an intake piece. You also need a canister filter or modification of your current filter setup. Additionally, the skimmer piece needs to be clear of debris to continue working properly. I recommend getting a long handled bottle cleaner type brush to keep the glass parts clear of algae growth.Properly installed, the water circulation is improved significantly, the surface film is no longer an issue.All in all, I am very pleased with the product quality and functionality!
