There are 3 ways to use the pump. We were missing the pieces to all 3 ways and were not able to use the pump. The pump was the main reason for this purchase.

The take arrives looking good.Leaks out of the bottom corner and was missing parts to the pump.I would not recommend

I bought this tank for my desk at work, so it was the perfect size at 6 gallons. I intended to have a betta and a few shrimp, some snails.Pros: The tank itself is great. It's a good size. That it doesn't have a feeding hatch is minor. The thermometer is nice, too. I have not needed a heater yet, but there is room to run one in if it comes to it.Annoyances: You have to scroll through the light colors to get to white every time you turn it on. It doesn't stay on the color you left it on when you turn it off then back on in the morning. Second, the clock is decorative. You cannot time the lights to automatically turn off and on, which would explain why there is a clock on the tank.Cons: The pump is a POS. The air tube ALWAYS comes unattached over the weekend and it is a whole effort to get it back on, the long suction piece pops off every time I did it... I swapped the dang thing out for the one you see in the pictures. Plus, it is only sucking up large particles and doing nothing for water quality.The sponge filter? Nice concept, but I added a mesh bag with a 50/50 mix of Fluval Zeo-Carb and aquatic peat to actually control things like ammonia and ph.In short, it is a great tank if you want a small tank, but be prepared to modify.Edit 8/21/2024: This unit DOES have a timer for the light but you have to button mash to get it to come up. I have no idea how I did it, I was trying to set the clock after a power outage and it gave me an 'ON' and 'OFF' option so I set it. Godspeed on getting it to work, but it is there somehow.

It was hard to put together. Instructions were in Chinese; some parts we could never figure out where they went; and some didn’t match up the way they were supposed to and that’s with watching YouTube videos. Besides that it works great

I agree with the reviews here. The filter is so strong, and I am missing a lot of parts it says it comes with like suction cups. I think this tank is worth it, just need the filter to come with all the attachments.

I haven’t used the bloodworm filter, but the ring alone is worth it and I wish I’d gotten it a long time ago! The filter used to slowly blow the food around the tank, and my betta would lose a piece. I’d be carefully feeding him one pellet at a time in a low-flo corner, dropping right in front of him, counting how many he ate, and it would be very fussy. I set this up in the same corner - he got used to it in a day - and now I can drop all the pellets in at once. None get lost. It’s so much easier! And it’s the right size too. Not too huge. Kinda cheap and chintzy but for the price and purpose who’s complaining?
