This bass guitar is everything and more that all the reviews say it is.Finish is absolutely flawless and the sound is amazing. And it came a week early, that was a great surprise. I plan to buy a six string from Glarry soon.

I never played bass and wanted to give it a try but didn't want to spend much just in case I didn't get into it. It's the perfect price for what you get. The amp is a small practice amp, obviously. I'm loving it so far and haven't noticed any flaws besides the strap being quite thin where the holes, but you aren't buying it for the strap. I played an Ibanez 6 string electric when I was a teanager so had a little background. So if you just want to pick up a new hobby and want to give bass a try, this is the perfect buy.

What I like & dislike ? What I dislike ..... The volume & tone pots dont feel very quality . Not bad, its whats expected on a "budget" guitar. Works fine,Im just being critical. They arre NOT cts Im sure. But they work fine, for now. If u dont be too rough with the knobs Im sure it will last a long time WhatI like now: Eveereything. . Packaging was nice, sealed in a styrphoam sleeve thing to prevent dust etc .... Took it out, shocked at the beautiful finish & woodgrain & style. Then impressed with the weight. Then impressed how balanced it is. .Upon playing it, Impressed with how good it sounds & even has good sustain. . As far as balance gooes ......No annoying Neckdive. The neck feels like it has some heft, but yet very comfortable. Like a mild C shape. Unfinished neck feels good in the hand. Frets feel Right with no sharpness or anything noticable. Just plays better than expected. . To sum it up, if this were a 200.00 guitar, Id say GET IT. Instead its just obver a hundred, the cord is a cheapo, the amp havent even played it so I dont know, havent toched the gigbag . .All i know is ........... This GlarryGib 4 string bass has impressed me, Love it. Just feels good playing it. I dont care what name is on the headstock. As it is Id feel confident taking this out and playing a live gig with it, No problem.

Everything was good quality except the storage bag, which is cheap and kind of useless as a protector. That said, the bass body, strings, and amp were reasonable quality and a great starter. Definitely as good as one you’d get at a music store but at a way better price.

The bass is almost as good as one 2-3X in price. Frets aren't sharp like you might find on other cheap basses, and strings were at the right height out of the box. My one complaint is that the volume pots aren't smooth - they have a weird catch in them like they're tweaked a little. The amp seems perfectly fine. It's a practice/starter amp, and it seems to do the job well. No complaints there. Now about the other pieces. The strap is junk. It's too short (I had to adjust it to the max length to make it work) and it looks like the ends will fall apart in a month or two. The cable is also really cheap. It's thin and has a 90 degree connector on one end, so it's better suited for a guitar with its connection on its face rather than on its edge. I'll be replacing these both. The bag is thin and has no padding. I guess it's ok-ish but I was expecting something more like a gig bag.Would I buy this again? Yes I would... no doubt. The value of the bass and amp make up for the low quality extras used to round out the package. This is definitely a decent setup for a newbie or someone that might loose interest after a few months or a year. The one thing I wish it would have come with is a tuner. So if your a parent/grandparent shopping for someone you might consider buying one to complete the package.

The guitar has a beautiful finish. I performed a "setup" prior to playing and found the following. The truss rod was adjusted properly. The string heights were set correct for the fret radius. Fret heights were flat and no buzzing notes. No frets were to long or sharp ends sticking out. Top nut was properly trimmed. Tuning and comtrol knobs all worked smoothly. It stays in tune very well. Intonation was almost perfect. As good as it could be with new strings. Action height was lower than expected but played clean notes on the entire fret board after tuning. Very easy to play.Amplifier has good volume for a small room and tone range was deeper than expected for its size.Gig bag, guitar cable, pick and adjustment tools are included.A great combo for the price. Suitable for beginners and experienced players as well.
