I like the concept of these. But they broke shortly after I got them. Wish they worked longer for us I love how it saves space.

This is not a work horse of a product. I bought it to replace a colander of 15 years that was cracking. This one not only cracked but it let go pasta that fell into the sink. It wasn't 6 months old and it split open and spilled angel hair pasta-8oz into the sink. I felt ok with buying a Glad product, I use their bags, etc. But this was very disappointing and now I need to start all over again. It was an ugly color anyway. I am going to look at OXO or maybe not a folding colander anymore!

Worked great for about 2 months, and then it split wide open.The Glad support website isn't helpful, don't waste your time here or on this product.

I have so many kitchen gadgets and tools that together take up a great deal of space. this collapsible colander is light, stores easily and well made. design helps protect you from steam type burns. it is very heat resistant and drains quickly. great value highly recommended.

We bought this for our RV and it works perfect. It has a slim design when collapsed but it’s still sturdy when open and ready to use.

As the title says, I use this to house mechanical filter media for aquarium water to use between 30% waterchanges. This technique mechanically filters waste from sand and gravel vacuuming, and decaying plant matter that the snails and fish haven't eaten.I always start by testing the water parameters to ensure they are still optimal. Then, I siphon it through the multi-step, cut-to-shape filter media nestled in this collander. It's handel's rest on the rim of a bucket and the filtered water can be re-used, keeping my water bill lower.I use coarse, medium, and fine spong filtration, followed by100 micron and then 50 micron flossing media, all cut to shape.After I am finished with the maintenence, I rinse each layer of media individually, then the callander and let dry.The collapsable feature is great at saving me space when storing between uses.

I wish there were more holes to drain from, but I like that it fits nicely in the cabinet and doesn’t take up much space. It does its job and strains well, and it’s easy to clean.

It's sturdy and works fine as a general colander but the holes are fairly big so it's useless for rice and grains.

I am unsure as to it's durability (time will tell) but the product is quite nice. The plastic does not feel cheap. Fold nicely as advertised. For the price it is a fine product.Well, a few months and about 10 uses later, the soft plastic has ripped open where it bends. it looks good but it is not durable at all. I didn't even put it in the dishwasher... My last one lasted 10 years so I'm disappointed.
