The kitchen sink strainer fits my sink like a glove, and the colander itself is made with thick, durable plastic that feels like it will withstand heavy use. The compact design is perfect for my 19" wide sink, and it sits securely in place, just like the picture shows. The fact that it's collapsible is also a huge plus, making it easy to store away when not in use.

I have an adjustable dish drying rack that is designed the same way to stretch over your sink and rest on the edges. It fits like a glove. I expected this to be designed the same way. While it does work the edges aren't completely flat and it bobbles a bit more than I would like. I don't think it would tip over but it is such a simple design there isn't any reason it shouldn't be flat. I do really like that I am able to strain items over my sink though rather than in a colander that rests on the bottom of my sink. It seems much more sanitary.
