My tradition is to buy my grandchildren a rocking chair for their 1st birthday. I have been doing this for 30 years. It's now a new generation and I purchased this one for my great granddaughter Madalyn. The second picture was taken 3 years ago when the others brought their chairs to the Christmas party. I know this chair we I'll be around for years because of the workmanship and sturdiness.

A really beautiful piece of furniture! It arrived as promised, at the earliest date of the projected arrival, which was just before a holiday and planned trip out of town. My 1-year old granddaughter climbed right on, rocked forward and backward and standing up. The chair is well balanced so did not tip over despite energetic maneuvering. It's a wonderful, personalized gift that will last a long time.(My son-in-law assembled the chair and commented that the glue provided was not strong enough to secure the top panel. So until he is able to replace it with stronger glue, we avoid lifting the chair by the top.)

Recipient is in love with her rocking chair. The only reason it didn't get a 5th star is because some of the paint finish work could have been better, but it made little difference to our 2 yr old granddaughter.
