I just got around to installing this several days after the return window...trusting it would work. It doesnt work except on manual which makes it worthless. The timer would only set for an AM time....no PM...and the every 12 hours setting failed to turn on as well. Reset didn't work. Taking batteries in and out didn't work. Rain delay was on 0 so that was not the problem. Spent an hour trying to figure out what I did wrong but finally concluded it is a faulty unit. Too late to return...but will still be under warranty ONLY I am going on vacation and need it NOW.Have sent a message to the seller and hope I get a quick response.

Supposed to have lifetime warranty. Mine conked out in March at 2 years old. I am still waiting for replacement. Gilmour was owned by Fiskars which, after I'd waited a month, informed me I should pursue warranty satisfaction with still another company. It's June and I am still waiting. Of course, I had to replace the device because it's the growing season so if I eventually get satisfaction, I will have a backup when this one also conks out. That said, it is easy peasy to install and use. Love the device.

Este producto es lo mas fácil de usar, la realidad es que funciona buy bien, mi única queja es que el paquete venia abierto, supuse que seria de que lo probaron antes, aunque si pensé que había sido una devolución y me habían dado un producto así, les di el beneficio de la duda y lo probe y al final decidí quedarme con el debido a que funciono todo perfectamente.

I use this controller to manage water flow on my pond. I have bought many different battery powered timers in the past, and most are fine -- but expensive. This model was very affordable, and more importanly, has large "+" and "-" buttons to control setting the time. This is handy when you have on gloves. It also has a quick bypass button that is easy to find, and large enough to press easily with a gloved hand. Highly recommend.

Tengo más de un mes usándolo y funciona perfecto. No tiene fugas y es fácil de programar.Le cambié el empaque que traía por otro convencional, sin la malla, y funciona muy bien. Por si acaso lo tengo protegido del sol, que aquí es muy, muy intenso; simplemente le puse una maceta al revés, para cubrirlo.Lo recomiendo bastante. Es un producto muy práctico.

I’m a professional and this is the best all around faucet timers I’ve used. Controls are very simple and versatile. Faucet connector is durable with a brass insert, and housing and buttons feel solid and long lasting. Has hose thread instead of pipe thread on the outlet (which some have.) Mostly it’s intuitive. I have spent a half hour trying to figure out a clients faucet timer with no manual, total nightmare. This one took 3 minutes to figures out and set without a manual when it arrived. Also, it’s set up based on days not days of the week. This allows you to water every two days three days etc. timers that use day of the week are terrible because if you water twice a week you end up watering every two days and then every three days, which makes no sense.My only complaint (listen up Gilmour!) is they it doesn’t have a hinged plastic timer as others do. I have not had one fail yet, but it seems inevitable that with the sun beating down on the exposed face you’ll run into trouble eventually.) install it in a shady spot if possible.

Bought two of these for my front and back yard. Works like a charm, at first one of the timers was leaking, it came without the top black stopper, I looked around and it was in the bag, once I fixed that, it stopped leaking.Another thing - you're supposed to lease your water running the timer will turn the water on and off if you leave it on the Run Setting, Didn't see that explained in the manual. Buy the hoses and rotating sprinklers and you have a cheaper sprinkler set up for your yard.

This unit is great for the price, very easy to use and understand. My only suggestion would be to make the maximum frequency more often than every 6 hours. When seeding new grass, every 3-4 hours is ideal. And, secondly, here's not a "Day only" option so you wind up with maybe a watering at 5pm, 11pm, then 5am. Which isn't ideal and does cause some soggy areas.

The price I paid was a bargain compared the higher prices I paid for a Gardena and an Orbit water timer. The Gilmour water timer seemed sturdy with some metal material for the connector, not just plastic. It was very easy to program. I would buy this item again.

I have a lot of animal water tanks and since I'm forgetful, I use these to make sure I don't over fill these tanks. I simply set the timer so the water turns on 4 times daily and runs full force for 8 minutes. The tanks stay full, the animals are happy and my forgetfulness does not cost me a small fortune. I also use this on tanks that have automatic waters on them. I have had hoses burst on me in the past and have left me small lakes in the field. These timers take care of that problem. I just ordered another for a different area of the farm. Can't wait for it to get here. I highly recommend this product both for it's quality in construction and it's ease to set up.
