This motherboard delivers a great set of features for the price, but with a few minor things worth pointing out.The RAM slots are very close to the CPU socket, so be mindful of your cooler choice and orientation. I learned that lesson the hard way - after installing my cooler, one side of the fan shroud protruded just enough to block a RAM slot, so I had to remove the cooler, clean/reapply thermal paste, and reverse the fan orientation to make it fit.If you need to remove the stock mounting brackets for a different cooler mounting style, keep in mind that the backplate is not attached to the board. It stays in place as long as you don’t move the board, but I lifted my board while working and suddenly found myself wondering where the cooler mounting screws had disappeared to, not realizing the bracket got left behind. There were some minor quality control issues. The M.2 screws were over-tightened, so I nearly stripped them trying to remove them. There was also a USB 3.2 header issue in that the plastic socket for the USB 3.2 header came loose when I needed to unplug the cable. I was able to fit it back onto the pins just fine, but this shouldn't happen. My only real disappointment is with the M.2 slots. The board features two, but only the first one (nearest the CPU) supports PCIe 4.0 speeds. The second slot is PCIe 3.0 only, which wasn't obvious in the product description. This won’t matter for many users, but if you were planning a RAID setup like I was, it’s important to note that both drives won’t run at the same speed.I loved Q-Flash! Being able to flash the BIOS without needing a CPU installed is an awesome feature. After flashing, the BIOS handled everything in my build flawlessly - I only had to enable XMP and I was good-to-go. If you’re using a newer Ryzen CPU, be sure to check if a BIOS update is required before installation. For lighting, the board has two main LED zones - one near the I/O shield, and another with 2 LED strips and backlighting near the PCIe slots. These were individually addressable using OpenRGB in Linux. I haven’t tested RGB control in Windows yet, but Gigabyte’s software is likely needed for full customization.Overall, this is a feature-rich board for the price and Q-Flash alone makes it a great choice for Ryzen users. If you need a solid, budget-friendly AM4 motherboard that's easy to work with, this is a great choice.

It has multiple IO with Wi-Fi 6 inclusive. The build was fairly easy as the choice of the case was great this board supports multiple fan, pump and rgb connections. The build quality is robust and it looks very good inside the black case with the Aorus accent on the fans.

Excellent board. My only (very minor) complaint is that the ram slots are a little too close to the CPU socket so the fan on my CPU cooler had to be adjusted to sit a little higher than I would've liked. But, that's really more on me for not checking measurements before buying the cooler. Won't even be an issue if you're using an AIO or stock cooler. Will need a BIOS update for 5000 series CPUs, so make sure you download an updated BIOS version to a flash drive prior to starting your build. The board supports Q flash, so you can even update without having to boot to the BIOS.The board has an orange light along the back of the IO. It looks cool, but if you're anti-RGB like me you'll be happy to know that you can turn that off in the BIOS.Overall really good board. If you're wondering if this is the one, it is.

Everything about it demonstrates quality and thoughtful design.A service call regarding a screw for an SSD heat sink was remarkable. More than a week after the initial request I was told they required the serial number. I located the serial number as per support documents on the Gigabyte site. I was informed that what I submitted was not the serial number and the format was incorrect (it has the same format as shown on their site). There are no other numbers. Why would a serial number be required to specify the screw type required for such a standard motherboard?

Note: Purchased September 2022, I received a Rev 1.1 board that fixes Bluetooth and WiFi/Ethernet issues. Make sure to use the provided antenna!Running this board in my NR200P Max, with a 5800X3D + EVGA 3090FTW, 32GB of Trident Z Neo memory. Absolutely phenomenal build quality and power delivery. PBO2 tuner and undervolting the 5800X3D gave some great performance and low temperatures.Easy to build in, the backplate is rigid and protective, plus enables great heat transfer.A small nitpick is the main M.2 slot has a heatsink and a decorative cover that goes over the heatsink, leave that off for better drive thermals. Installing the main NVMe requires you to remove a nut over the screw, not explained in the manual but Youtube was able to explain it.Othewise, over a month of heavy usage with no issues whatsoever. Great BIOS, features, build and performance. Best in class power delivery for any ITX B550 board.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the elusive AMD Ryzen 5800x during release and needed a motherboard to go with it. I didn't need a ton of PCIE lanes and wanted to be able to overclock my CPU a bit so I settled on this GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC.Pros:Great VRM design that allow good overclock. 12+2 phase vrm allows me to overclock my 5800x to 5050mhz single core and 4850mhz all cores. Using negative values for PBO to reduce vcore along with a good cooler, NH-D15, and I'm 24/7 stable at these settings.Bios flash without CPU or RAM installed. This allowed me to flash the bios to accept Ryzen 3 CPUs without needing to turn on the PC with an older Ryzen CPU. Follow the instructions exactly as described in this amazon listing. For people using this feature, just be patient during this process. I waited 15 minutes to let bios flash, it's not exactly fast.Bluetooth and AC wireless built in. At the time I purchased this board, the non-wireless version was available but the price was discounted for the wireless version so I went with it. I'm glad I did mainly for the convenience that having BT built in. The built in BT is fast and I've got a ton of accessories connected all the time now. For people wanting to use BT, make sure you connect the external wireless antenna because it's also the BT antenna as well.Cons:Realtek Network. I docked a single star for the RealTek 2.5Gb NIC because it has issues where it would randomly disconnect then reconnect throughout the day. For most people, this quick and temporary disconnect won't affect them if you're browsing or streaming. However, if you use VPN for work, the slight drop in connection will take your VPN offline. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. I've tried all the suggestions, changing advanced NIC settings, changing drivers, etc etc etc. Nothing works. The reason I only docked a single star is because this problem seems to be common to ANY motherboard using the Realtek 2.5Gb network. If it weren't for this problem, this board would have gotten a perfect 5 stars from me.Neutral:I've seen countless posts and discussions about USB issues but I have almost all my USB ports used and I have yet to have any drops (knock on wood) so at least I'm not burdened by this issue.Overall I'm satisfied with the board and if there is a driver or bios or anything that can resolve the realtek nic dropping, I will update my review.
