AWARD BIOS ringing of the general meaning is:
1 short: the system starts properly, which we hear every day, but also that machines without any
problems.
2 short: General error, please enter the CMOS Setup, reset the incorrect options.
1 long 1 short: RAM or motherboard error, try for a memory, if that does not work, had to replace
the motherboard.
1 long 2 short: Monitor or display card error.
1 long 3 short: Keyboard controller error, check the motherboard.
1 long 9 short: board Flash RAM or EPROM error, BIOS damage. For the block Flash RAM try.
Continuous sound (long beeps): memory is not seated or damaged. Re-insert the memory, if that
does not work, replace only a memory.
It kept ringing: power supply, display and graphics card connected.
Check all plugs.
Repeat short ring: Power problems.
No sound No display: power problems.

These tiny speakers are helpful to use on a motherboard for getting the sound beeps needed to troubleshoot a boot problem. I've not heard anything but beeps -- these speakers could not produce full audio. Bulk pack helped me install on several new PC builds.

At first I was disappointed and looked to see other brands that might make louder speakers. But then I tried the other 4 and realized that 2 out of the 5 were loud and the other 3 were faint. So you if you need all 5 to be loud, you might have to return them until you get all of them loud. Haven't used the speaker for long, so I can't talk about longevity. However they are cheap and have a free return policy.

I needed these for motherboards and they sounds fine. Be aware that the back of the speaker has two solder points that are too exposed, so I just put electric tape on the back of the speakers for insulation. Cable connector fits the speaker connectors on the two ASUS motherboards I tried these on very easily. the PLUS cable is marked I think on the back of the unit. I don't have it in front of me. I am very careful that cables connect as marked. If it was not indicated, I would not use it. Or I would look up if red is the + usually online. I had no problems connecting and using this.

Of course the first one I installed didn't work. The second one did. Haven't tried the others. Not very loud either.
