We used this spoon for several years but today we dropped it on our hardwood floor resulting in a broken spoon. Although we loved using this spoon, our next one will be a stainless steel one that is forged as one piece.

The title says it all. When I'm making a pot of tea (1000ml), one scoops of loose tea does the job with "ease, convenience, and constancy". When I'm making a relatively large cup (600ml), the "Perfect Cup" scoop (equal to 1.5 teaspoons), two scoops with that product does the trick while proving an equal ratio of tea to water to the item being reviewed.

Very sturdy and it measures about 5 tsp of tea which makes about 5 6oz cups of tea (or 3.7 8oz cups)...depending on how strong you like it.

I love this teaspoon! It is well made and just the size I like... makes one nice pot of tea.

I LOVE this product! I was so skeptical at first because I wasn't sure it would work to scoop out my loose leaf tea. But I was tired of not having a way of measuring my tea. (I have a scale, but I'm not patient enough for that). I have medical issues where I need to drink a lot of fluids a day, and I don't really care for straight water anymore, so I've been drinking green tea for years and years. But I hated getting up 1600 times a day to refill a coffee cup. So I found 32oz cups and some WONDERFUL tea-bags that I can fill myself with loose leaf tea and steep. My problem came with how much to put in them. And I would slowly start putting more and more in them and get different flavors of cups of tea. I'm not much of an aficionado, so it was fine, but I was also going through my tea much too quickly! This Tea Scoop changed all that! I get a consistent "cup" of tea every time that is just right for me. I love it! I am so pleased with this purchase! It is exceedingly high quality as well. *Very* sturdy! I can scoop around in my tin for the tea without worry that anything is going to bend. Seriously, 5 stars, all the way!

I am not a big fan of loose leaf tea. I already have a favorite tea, and it comes readily in bag form (the original Ceylon tea company, English breakfast). But when I do make loose leaf tea, this is a great tool for ensuring I get the right measurement for my pot everytime. It makes a good, strong cup.

I wanted a nice measuring spoon for my new large teapot and this one looked nicer than the others I saw online. It was a bit expensive for what it is (a spoon) but the design looked nice. It arrived today and I'm very pleased with it. Really nice quality (I would describe it as very nice stainless steel or almost chrome. Heavier weight than your average spoon or measuring spoon that come with sets). I tried to measure how much it is (with water and my measuring spoons) and it appears to hold a tablespoon plus a teaspoon or maybe two teaspoons almost? Anyway, I'm pretty sure it will suit my needs and make a great pot of tea. One thing I hadn't noticed in the picture is the little teapot on the handle says 3-4 cups. Which is exactly the size pot I need it to make basically. Would I recommend? Definitely. Would I buy again? DefinitelyUpdate 12/6/18 - I use this spoon almost every day. It does make the perfect pot of tea and you can adjust for stronger teas or weaker teas by using just less than a full spoonful or using a heaping spoonful. Would definitely recommend

Label on the handle says it makes 3-4 cups. Good measure for making pots of tea. Just keep it with your tea stuff so it won't get lost in that drawer with the measuring spoons and, well, who knows what else.
