This part fits my 2006 Chevy Colorado Z71 despite Amazon saying they don’t. Remove your old parts unless they just fell out. Next clean the inside of the mount with a screw driver etc to get the debris and rust. Then use a little grease on the outside rim that slides upward. Place the stop on a slight angle then use a 1” flat bar or similar against the bottom of the stop and frame pressing upward. Use a c clamp type vise grip or similar to squeeze the stop together to allow you to push it up in the mount. That is the only way you will get it in place.
