This is a genuine factory OEM part. And NOT a sketchy aftermarket product sold by a fly-by-night supplier which is all too often the case when purchasing through Amazon. This supplier has this part priced competitively and they shipped supper quick.Installation is basically plug and play.

This motor was a great fit. The video was very helpful. Sad a brand new $900 dishwasher seldom use the motor would fail less than 4 yrs old KDFE104! I read reviews and it sounds like a common problem. I think Kitchen Aid had a manufacturer problem, they should have to do a recall reimburse customers.

I'm certain this part works for the dishwasher it was made for, but it was the wrong part for mine. The return went smooth and easy. To be fair, I could not find the correct part anywhere.

I bought a used Kitchenaid (kdte104ess3). When I would try to run it, I could hear it turn on, water go in, and back out. The cycles took HOURS to complete, and the dishes weren't clean afterward. It was steamy inside when I opened it, so the heating element was working.I ordered this part, installed it, and it runs like a dream now. I’ve never worked on appliances before, but I was able to replace this myself. Step-by-step instructions are easy to find online.

KitchenAid (Whirlpool) Dishwasher, almost daily use 6 years into service, over a couple months gradually did not complete cycles or required frequent restarts. Directly caused by worn motor bearing in the circulation pump in the OEM unit. Did not want to replace a perfectly good machine that ran at a very quiet 46 dB. This PN was the correct one and repair guy (can be DIY, but not that simple) replaced it within 20 minutes for a fraction of the cost. This PN apparently has a more durable motor bearing.

Yep. I own a whirlpool model WDT780saem1, have had @8 years and stopped running correctly. Another reviewer w same model described the symptoms perfectly here. Bought this and installed about an hour- perfect YouTube video walks through process. I figured we saved @400-600$ dollars here rather than buying a new dishwasher. Happy wife, happy life.

I put this new pump in my 4 year old Whirlpool WDT780SAEM1, and now the dishes are coming out clean! Before installing this pump, I noticed that the dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes too good, and sometimes the dishwasher soap pod would release from the door, but not fully dissolve. I was also receiving an error code F7E1 (open heating element) when I ran the diagnostics on the dishwasher. Sometimes the dishes would clean properly after doing a factory reset on the dishwasher, but more often than not, it would wash poorly. I noticed that the heating element in the bottom of the dishwasher would still get hot, so even though I was getting an error code potentially related to an open heating element, it was in fact this new dishwasher pumped that resolved the problem. I'm disappointed that the original part only lasted 4 years, and I had to spend money on this replacement pump. I was able to replace this part without pulling out the entire dishwasher. Hopefully I'll get lucky and get a longer life out of the replacement pump!

This was the perfect resolution to the simple diverter motor not working ie. The diverter motor, pictured with the blue sticker, pushes the water up through the spray arm. Everything else worked: washer drained & filled, arm and mesh screens were patent, float switch clicked on and off, timing sensor and the electronics were good. The only thing it didn't do was spray the water.Deciding weather to do it or spend another 500$ on servicing it or buy a new. I switched off the breaker and checked out the diy videos on this product.Only issue installing it was the diverters blue and red wire placement, simple, but wish I took a picture of it prior, fyi blue is on outter ring and red near the center.Good price for a whole new unit basically, took about 30 min, minimum cleanup, and tested. If you are seeing what I described and cant figure it out... its the diverter motor which I would rather buy this entire assembly and do it without taking the washer out.Oh, also it was primed so I got it in 2 days.
