Little lighter on the color but mink oil will definitely fix it. Very cool pretty strong too would use some type of resin for cut ends

I like everything about this braid. Used it to replace the original braid on a bolo tie that broke. Would work well for bracelets wristbands even a simple hat band.

Exactly what I was hoping for, nice size for necklace. I have trouble with all metals giving me a rash around my neck. I made some chokers with this rope and plastic clasps.

Overall this is a pretty decent braided leather cord. I used it to make "stamped strings" (chinstrap) for a hat. It seems to be fairly strong and it looks pretty good. I'm not quite sure how it's made, but I would guess on some kind of machine due to the consistency of the braid. There seems to be a "core" piece that the outer leather is braided around. I suspect some kind of adhesive/cement is involved in holding it all together, as it doesn't fray at the cut end. The outer pieces definitely seem to be real leather. The con is that there can be flaws along the cord, so be sure to check it before you use it. I noticed a kink or two, but it's purely cosmetic and not all that noticeable.
