The original listing did not mention this as a portable camping mat when I purchased it so I’m not sure how I feel about it. I was under the impression that it was just a regular outdoor rug. It is extremely thin and lightweight and will blow away if you use this on any type of patio or hard surface. I understand this being lightweight for the portability, but it almost seems too thin to protect you from the ground if it were a little damp. The current price is $40 and that feels a little high for what this is.

Large area rug that is made from Polypropylene and is reversible. This makes it easy to clean. These can be used as outdoor rugs or picnic blankets. But maybe the best two uses are for the beach or to put in a room with cat litter boxes. When put outdoors, the rug may have to be weighted down or a wind will blow it away. At the beach or park, use can use the enclosed stakes to secure it.The rug is waterproof and can be shaken to loosen dirt/debris. Or simply rinse with water.This rug is particularly nice as it folds up and has straps to carry it. This makes it convenient to keep in your car or camper or tote to the beach.It will have creases in it from being folded. If you put this on a porch, it will need some time to flatten. You may be able to speed this along by spraying it down and then letting it sit in the sun with the corners weighted.
