I got these to have in our yard after having speaker wires chewed by what I suspect were rats/mice and I wanted ot make sure the pets did not get into the rat poison. They seem a bit lighter than expected, but I just place a brick on them to keep them in place just in case. Nice to have the simple lock function as well so curious little kids stay away from the poison as well.

Very well built, we have a dozen of these and they are safe to use as you have to have a "key" to get in.

It was easy to use and the plastic is solid, not bendable.I hope they last. Latch is good!

These bait stations work fine for indoor use but are too light weight for outdoors. They are easily moved and can be blown away by wind or moved by water in heavy rain. They need weight in the bottom to help keep them stationary.

We had a problem with mice from the nearby cemetery getting into our attic, and blocks of poison in the attic weren't proving sufficient. We were referred to these bait stations by an exterminator and are we ever grateful to him for recommending! We placed 4 of the bait stations outside (spaced out around the perimeter of the house), one in the garage and one in the attic. We didn't check them for about 4-6 weeks, and we now find that bait is gone in most of the traps (meaning the critters have gotten inside the traps, eaten bait, and left the scene...although we did find a dead mouse in the yard), and we haven't heard a noise upstairs in the attic for months. It may be worth noting that we have not seen any sick squirrels or cats, so we are guessing this product is pretty specific to mice/rats. We are very happy with the design which protects children and our dogs from getting into the poison.
