Can not get data due to error of "data error"

It worked as well as expected. I found it to be accurate enough. (Within 1 degree C compared to a Fluke Meter.) The biggest shock came when I tried to install the software from the small CD and AVG Free found a Trojan. I was able to download a driver from the General Tools website that AVG said was clean. The User interface is Minimal but quite usable. It would have liked to have the option to download Logged data without clearing the Loggers' memory in case I wanted to continue logging.. I also found The catch holding the battery cover closed is very easily broken or bent so that the battery cover comes off easier than the Clear Plastic cover that shields the USB connection.

I purchased this a year ago and it worked well the first two times I used it. After that, it sat in my tool bag for a few months and when I went to use it again it was broken. No signs of wear, replaced the battery and still didn't work. I gave it a two star because it did the job well when it worked, but it is not durable. If you travel with tools I would look for something more durable or pack it well, for around the office or home it may work for you, but I'm going with something different now that I need it again.

I find this temperature data recorder very buggy and difficult to use. To start off, the LEDs do not behave like it says in the manual so I had to figure that out for myself. The only time that I've got it to completely work is when I do a test in my house, nearly every other time it either doesn't record anything, or half the data is corrupted. For example, I wanted to record temp and humidity throughout a 2 day winter camping trip. I strapped it to my pack and turned it on. When I went to pull data, it said "data corrupt" and only gave me the last 4 hours (instead of ~28 hours that I wanted). Temp and humidity were well within the limits of the device, and it should have used only a small percentage of the built-in memory.

bought two for comparing temp in a cellar relative to rest of house. One seemed to work well, but the other was DOA, so I returned both.Seems to be similar to the Lascar brand logger, but the software is a bit dated.

Initial order arrived inoperative. It was replaced promptly and the new item worked well. The instructions for use are little confusing but once I decoded the instructions it works well. It logs temperature and humidity with enough variable time frame settings to satisfy the user. The base mount for it is magnetic so you can stick it to the side of any metal in the area that you want to monitor.For the price, this is a good unit.

The tool works, but is off by at least 5 degrees at room temperature (eg. logged 77 degrees in a 72 degree room), and unknown at higher or lower temperatures. It's unfortunate since in all other respects the tool seems great. Since I'm trying to use a logger to understand the heating in my apartment, accuracy is very important.Since I've missed the opportunity to return the tool, and accuracy is important to me in its intended use, I'm just going to give it away to someone that's okay with such egregious errors (eg. someone watching for a refrigerator failure).To replace the HT10, I purchased the much more expensive "Lascar EL-USB-2-LCD+", and am now getting spot-on results. You really do get what you paid for.

this logger works as it should and has a battery supplied which is very thoughtful. The software was a bit fussy to install, but once running, it produced good data and imports graphs into a spreadsheet directly. This is extremely useful. Turning on and off you need to hold the button in for about 5 seconds until both lights flash. green for on, red for off.
