Use this hexagon steel plumb bob for determining a vertical line for builders and interior design. It is made of hexagonal cold drawn steel and is nickel plated to prevent rust. It has a removable cord cap for a 3/32" braided cord. It conforms to government specifications GGG-P-501e. The weight is 8 oz and it is 4" long.

The price was right for this plumb bob. Not rocket science or any moving parts. The weight of the plumb bob gets the job done to get a reliable reference point. I use it to level out my rifle scope reticle to make sure the vertical axis is in line. The only suggestion that I would have is to include a lime green or safety orange colored string as part of the package. I got rid of the white string and replaced it with an orange one to get a better visual reference.

Plumb bob is awesome works like it should. Only down fall is the string provided is poor quality recommend a better quality string out the gate

This is a great product at a very good price.The only issue is the size of the thread hole, which I had to enlarge to use the most common thread sizes (particularly if you need to use one with any of the high contrast colors)

Works as it's supposed to. Bit cheaper here then in stores. Like others suggested the string is cheap, replace with a better one

Good weight, nice machining, the point is really on the middle.Rope is really flimsy, stays bend and literally do not stop spinning.... never stops! It really freaking me out, so I swapped it out.

Won't roll away on flat surfaces, made well and holds extremely still with well pointed nose down.Rust resistant but I gave it a coat of WD-40 Specialist to insure permanent resistance to corrosion.The string is long enough for most applications.Would buy this item again.
