It looked smaller than I thought. But it works great. It was difficult to squeeze the 2 prongs to get the holder out, but once I did everything else went together well. Tested it before I put the holder in place. I did not have to take the door panel off, just the door pull and a few on the bottom and sides, laid on my back looking up at the push button.

Got this for my ‘12 chevy malibu and it works perfect. Was very easy to install and instantly opened the trunk. I have officially replace every driver door button/ switch on my vehicle and got everything I needed here on Amazon. Would 100% recommend for an instant fix.

This was the perfect replacement for the trunk lid release switch for a 2011 Malibu. Easy to switch out (and I’m not mechanically inclined), and it works perfectly. I replaced this without removing the door panel. But to do so, I had to break, and replace, the plastic bezel the switch sits in. I had planned for this and purchased the bezel from Amazon when I purchased the switch (ASIN: B077PDJD5R). There’s a YouTube video that will show you how to replace the switch (without removing the door) on a Malibu. Easy to find if you google it.
