Used this part to replace a non-functioning hatch release on my 2011 Forester. I found instructions on YouTube to replace this myself and followed along. Couple hours later, works like a dream! Saved myself the $400 the dealership quoted me for the same job.

I used this to fix the switch on my 2011 Forester. I don’t know if the connector fits but I just cut the wires on the old and new and spliced this one in. Perfect fit for the switch part.

I ended up removing the old switch externally with a pick/flathead screwdriver, cutting the original wires flush against the old switch and then used heatshrink butt connectors to connect the new switch. Search youtube for a better visual of the process.

Bought a 2009 Subura Impreza Outback and the trunk wouldn’t open, which we knew before we bought it. It fixed the problem and haven’t had an issue since.

Perfect recreation of the OEM part. Fit my 2011 WRX hatch perfectly. Only small gripe is the old part had a fastener attached about midway down the wire to attach to the body. The new part does not have that fastener. Not a huge issue as there’s not much slack in the wire for it to ever be an issue.

Had a 2009 Subaru Impreza hatchback and the lift gate would not open. I originally bought a new latch mechanism but after replacing that it did not fix the issue so the only thing left was the button itself. I bought this one and installed it and just like that my trunk is working like new again.Great quality if not higher quality than the OEM one. Comes with everything needed.
