Don't waste your time on just getting or replacing just the motor. This is a perfect complete set works like a charm quality product

It was not an easy task to replace this motor, with the amount of rust and dirt underneath, had to spray a lot of penetrating fluids and let it soak before starting the disassembly. Tools you'll need for this repairs are, 5mm and 5/32" Allen key, 10mm and 1/2" socket wrench, and a mallet. Did this repair back in 2022, every once in a while I will apply WD40 to every pivoting joint to keep it running smoothly and rust free, the power running board still functions as it should to this date, very happy with this product and will definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about buying it.

I purchased the driver & passenger side assembly. It worked fine for a while but towards month both the driver & passenger side 10 started to have issues (mainly retracting). Around month 11 - 12 the driver side did not get worse however the passenger side will not retract without "helping" or pushing it into position. I tried spraying WD40 to make sure the joints were lubricated but it didn't help.These items were not supposed to be refurbished so I expected at least 5 years of service. I would not recommend purchasing this item. If you have to purchase make sure to get the protection plan because they will fail.

You'll need a T25 star bit, 10mm socket (deep and shallow). Star bit screws (2) were the hardest to get off. Just installed last night, but so far so good.

I just replaced the driver side running board motor/hinge on a 2012 Suburban LTZ after replacing the passenger side last summer. The stock motor loses power over time, resulting in slow closing and, in cold weather, inability to close the running board. The problem is not the hinges but the motor. This is a great solution at a very reasonable price. You'll need a set of allen wrenches and a socket set. There are six bolts to remove to drop the board/motor/hinges/bracket from the frame of the car. There are 1-3 electrical connectors to disconnect, depending on which side you're doing. Once you have it off the vehicle, there are three nuts and 3 allen screws to remove the motor from the bracket and the board from the hinge, respectively. It's a litle cumbersome but I did it both times without assistance. Plan about 2 hours per side. The results are worth it and the new motor is smooth, quiet, and fast!
