From the Manufacturer

More and more manufacturers are using the torque angle procedure for tightening fasteners and head bolts, simply because it's a more accurate way to ensure even tightening on the widely used aluminum heads and blocks. This torque angle gauge will guarantee a more precise method of tightening fasteners. The easy-to-read gauge lets you see exactly where you are in your turn procedure.

First off I bought this item which because it looked like it would hold up better than the standard plastic gauges that I saw pictured with the rest of the torque angle wrench options. I didn't expect to pay twice as much for what I expected or should I say as shown on advertised picture only to get the same plastic gauge I was trying to avoid. This is JUNK and I do not appreciate the false advertisement. I would attach a picture of what I received, but you can you look at the other gauges shown with a white face and plastic guard.

I did not get what I ordered. Instead of KD Tools 3336 gauge, I got GearWrench ([...] 3336D. It is not what I wanted, but the gearwrench site lists this tool for about $25.00. It seems like it will do the job, so I am going to try it. Let you know in about 3 weeks when I get my heads back from the machine shop to see if it will do the job. The only possible concern, is that the set screw for the holding arm is in plastic.

Used it only once so far, but it works fine. Takes a few tries to get used to, so practice first if you are working on something critical. Not great for tight spots.

I purchased two of these (from different vendors) and the second one worked no better than the first. The first one I returned and then I was tricked by the product image on Amazon into buying the same POS. The indicator sticks to the base and does not turn with the shaft. There is too much friction with the base and not enough friction with the shaft. Bad design, I don't know how they can sell these. I was stuck so I taped the indicator dial to the shaft just so I could get a set of heads done, but after that it went in the trash. Don't buy this one, find one that works.
