The product works as stated, but it isn't the highest quality item. But for the price it works, and I've had no issues with it. The packaging of this was done with zip ties that were far too tight leaving imprinting and slight damage to the cord. The Aluminum strands within the wire break off really easily. So, if you're using the push style binding posts this could leave potential broken strays within the system. But this stuff works and was priced well.

I bought two sets to connect surround speakers to a receiver in a 5.1 system.Easy to strip, red line runs length as polarity indicator (see photo).CCA (copper clad aluminum) wire, so lower price, but I find sound quality fantastic.So, excellent wire at an unbeatable value.Five stars *****.

Worked like a charm. Cats chewed through the original cable, this one is much thicker and better insulated.

Most people are going to find this premium speaker wire by GearIT works well in their system. Polarity (postiive/negative) is easy to identify on the wire with a red stripe for positive. This is a big deal for me as the print on some speaker wire can make it very difficult to identify the positive versus the negative.This wire is made of Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) and while the description on this page offers the positives, GearIT's own website also discusses advantages of the alternative Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) wire. Mainly OFC offers higher conductivity and a clearer/stronger signal in audio than CCA wire. For most people, you're not going to tell the difference but those audiophiles obsessed with specs might have wished they paid extra for the OFC. I myself was a little turned off until I checked my current wiring in my system (which sounds great!) was already using CCA for my main speakers. In other words, CCA works just as well as OFC for most systems.With much of my system's wiring is in 14 Gauge CCA, this 12 Gauge wiring offers a nice thicker line. I expect better performance with 12 Gauge . I'm also hopeful with the thicker weighted wire there is less chance of my Roomba vacuum scooting the wire across the carpet. My understanding is that 12 Gauge CCA wire is the equivalent of 14 Gauge OFC wire...so I'm personally satisfied with the experience and the specs of this product.
