Tried to use this to fix a vinyl window in a coated polyester tent fly. Stuck well at first but loosened off within 12h while just sitting there and had to be removed. Definitely no watertight sealing capability. Pulled off like Magic Tape off a plastic container were it was still somewhat attached. Magic Tape stuck better during initial repair than this Tenacious Repair Tape! All installation instructions were followed precisely. Have had good success with cloth backed Tenacious Tape, which is why I tried it this time.

My son was a little overzealous with his shovel on our last camp out and cut two 1 1/2” slits in our tent when digging a water trench around the perimeter. After we got home, I ordered this tape to repair it. Today we cleaned the area with alcohol wipes, and then applied the tape with rounded corners like the instructions say and it worked beautifully! It seems to have stuck very well. Since it is clear it blends right in with the tent fabric so it’s not noticeable. I put a patch on the inside and outside just to be sure. We will be keeping a roll of this in with our camping supplies from now on.

I bought this in order to fix a few cracks in my soft top jeep window. Applied easily and seems to be well adhered. No issues so far. Inexpensive fix as long as it stays adhered. I’ll update review if any issues arise. Much cheaper than buying new windows. I’ll put that on hold until the window is just a large piece of tape ;)

Got this to repair a small tear in a Columbia jacket a few years back, but never had any luck with it. Starts falling off almost immediately.

I’ve been using this stuff for years, and can say that Tenacious Tape is an excellent repair resource for tents and other outdoor gear. I’ve used it to cover small holes in a tent floor, and on outdoor clothing. So far, I’ve never had to replace it once applied.PRO TIPS:-Make sure your surface is cleaned thoroughly before applying (no tape sticks for long on dirty, dusty surfaces.-on clothing, or other non-smooth surfaces, blow drying the tape briefly after applying softens the tape and glue, allowing for a better bond.Highly recommended.

Very easy to use, and might be a good product on other materials, but on the coated nylon rain fly sheet of a North Face tent, it didn't work. The tape peels away, and I'll have to look for something else to repair the small holes before my next trip. My tent may need a thinner product, or sealant instead.

Worked well over all on my old tent were the seam tape was cracking. The two roles were enough to patch all the seams (which needed lots of patching) on my two person backpacking tent and rain fly. My only issue is where the tent folds for packing the tape that was on the folds pulled away but with pressure I got it to stick again but had to do this several times.

I had a tent that was ripped open by a possum during a recent camping trip. Had the rip tape up using this and it seems to hold quite well. Much better then the normal electric tape we were using at the time to hold it together. It’s not cheap, but seem to do the job. I can’t talk to the durability for now as the repair is only new.

This review is for the clear tape intended for use on tents. We had a 2 ft long x 1 ft long, 3-corner tear in the roof of our Clam screen enclosure that was created when the roof collapsed in the wind during a torrential rain storm and the weight of accumulating water finally ripped the fabric.Using small strips of the tape like staples, I was able to pull the sides of the tear on the underside of the roof together. The tape was adhesive and strong enough to hold the sides of the tear together despite the fact the roof was pulled taught and there was a lot of tension along the tear. I then used long strips of the tape on the topside of the roof to seal the tear against water. The tape stuck to the fabric and laid flat completely sealing the tear. As suggested by other reviewers, I then covered the strips on the outside of the roof with clear Gorilla tape that is a bit wider to create additional hold to the roof. The tape is visible, as is the tear itself, but the roof is as close to the original color as it could be, the tear is sealed, and the roof is functional. It took 1 12 rolls of tape to fix the tear, but about $20 worth of tape salvaged a $400 dollar screen enclosure and restored it to full function. It has only been a few weeks so far, but the tape has held through several more heavy rains and some wind. I am very happy with how this tape performed!

First of all, I really love this tape. I mainly got this and another tape for my canvas elk tent that is weathered and torn. It sealed a couple tears very well, but it's not my favorite for that application. I used it for other things, like to cover a shattered plastic reflector to keep it functional and you can't even tell from a distance. Hanging LED strip lighting inside an enclosed trailer. The tape sticks so well you only need a small piece every foot or so, beats putting screws or nails into it the trailer. I sealed a tear in a heavy duty nylon(I think) work jacket and it holds up no problem. I was careful to keep the area and tape clean when applying. And to not have fingerprints and oil curl up the edges I cut off the ends that I touched with scissors before fully pressing the tape down. Good stuff. And shout out to Amazon for their customer service. I ordered this with prime 2-day shipping a week before I was to leave hunting. When the package arrived, it had the contents of my order sans Tenacious Tape. The first time I've ever had an item missing in a shipment out of hundreds of orders in the past decade. I didn't know what to say on the online order part, so I found a phone number and called. In under 5 minutes they had ordered another be 1-day shipped to me. All without my explaining I needed it before I left. Thanks Amazon.
