I got this window AC as a basic unit when extra cooling is needed or there's a problem with the main AC. It's the most compact window AC I've used, which makes it easy to put in any window and store away. It works decently, putting out air 20° F cooler than room temperature after running for a few minutes. Fan is average volume. Low and high don't have a big difference in speed (and oddly BOTH draw the same 65W at the plug). Power draw is pretty low at 390W on high cool. Filter is easy to slide out to clean, though sliding out could leave lint inside due to the narrow slot. I like that you can pull the drain plug so water drains out the back rather than building up for the fan fling on the coils, since dust tends to build up and this would dirty outside coils. Installation is pretty typical, with screw brackets to keep it all in securely. This is an OK value.Minor issues:- Air vents can't be tilted up and down, just left and right.- Controls are very basic mechanical with no protection electronics for running compressor too soon after it's just shut off. This could occur if power fails for a second (a common occurrence). This requires being careful when adjusting thermostat if compressor just finished running.- To clean the coils front must be taken off, with a couple of screws down on the side. Knobs come off when taking front cover off, and on mine it snapped off the tips of some of the styrofoam panels at the top.

This window unit air conditioner has been a great addition to our kitchen. When it is stuffy due to cooking or having a window in the sun, the fan is perfect to move the air. In the summer, the air conditioning function will be perfect for helping cool the upstairs in our split level home. It was easy to install, and the controls are easy to use. Great value for the price!

We live in the deserts of the Southwest where it gets super-hot. We enclosed our back porch so that it could act as a sleeping area for when the grandkids visit. Even though it is winter now, this room tends to get warm during the heat of the day even with the one window open. I installed this unit, and it went in and works flawlessly. The warm spring and hot summer weather will be the big test. If the little beast cannot stand up to the heat, I will come back and update this review. For now, we are very happy with our order.

Works great, cools off our office just as we hoped. We got this to fit in our home office window because that room has our computers in it and it also gets really hot because the sun just beats on the wall and bakes it. We have a horizontal sliding window instead of the kind this is actually made for, but if you look up how to install it, it is very easy. The side pieces come off easily if you don't need them for your window, but if you're using the vertical window, you will need them to fit the gaps. They allow sound through so I would get weatherstripping and possibly put some plexiglass in and tape it to the window frame with packing tape so it made more of a sound and air barrier. Our office is the size that this is made for, which is not a large room. The A/C unit is very quiet and the fan blows well without making tons of noise. It is able to keep our office a comfortable temperature, and does not draw much power. We have solar and it uses about half a kilowatt which isn't bad at all. Setting this up once you have it in the window is very straightforward, it just plugs in and then you turn on the fan. The weight of the unit is not too heavy, it probably weighs about 50 lbs? But we could easily move it around as needed and hold it in place while we got it put into the window. The size is also not bad, it's compact, but it does the job.

I love how super simple this 5000btu Window Air Conditioning Unit is to install....I put it in by myself! It's size is for small rooms...150sq ft... and does a great job. It's also easy to operate, and has a convenient remote control.It has cool and fan modes, with low and high settings, and a temperature control dial 1-10. It can't get any easier than this. It runs quietly, with a low white noise. I find the sound to be soothing. Excellent quality AC Window Unit, great size, and value.

This A/C unit is perfectly sized for our garage. We work on projects in our garage and the garage can get hot and stuffy in the warmer months and this window unit helps the space stay cool. It's easy to install, not heavy and cools efficiently. It's a small simple unit that works well for our needs.

I am finally having my own office as the kids start moving out of the house. This unit was perfect for the smaller office we had which was used by my child as a bedroom. This compact air conditioner is well-suited for such smaller rooms. While it does generate some noise, typical of any cooling unit, the sound level is not excessive. I found it quite effective at quickly cooling down the room.Installation was straightforward and hassle-free. The best part about it is that you don't need two people as it is very lightweight. I particularly appreciate the lack of a remote control, as it eliminates the risk of misplacing it. I don't need a remote in such a small space anyway. The unit itself feels well-constructed and sturdy.Overall, this air conditioner provides a reliable and efficient cooling solution for smaller spaces.

i needed a replacement window unit. I have cats and my old unit was bad. I'm so happy with this unit. It's pefect size and fits most windows with ease. It is made for easy and quick installation. comes with clear instructions and after using it for a couple days im so happy. its way better then the old one even when it was new it was not nearly as cold and it pushes air out twice a much. It keeps my bedroom cold at all times even when I leave my door open to my bedroom it cools down the back of my house. For the price its great and its not loud at all. very happy with it.
