This review will be easy to write. The caulk is first class, with excellent adhesion, quick drying, and clear. Coming from the tube, it's exactly the same as what comes out of the cartridge. The only reason for purchasing the tube is for instances where you can't negotiate the space and angle needed to use the normal caulking gun. For that limitation, you end up paying quite a bit more for what you're getting. If you almost never do home repairs yourself, and the idea of purchasing a caulking gun doesn't make sense, then pay the higher price. I suppose that's why GE offers this option in the first place.

This was perfect for a couple of small gaps along the top corners of some siding. Very easy to open and use. No other tools were needed, such as a caulking gun. The cap was put back on after use, and a week or so later it was able to be used with no problems or drying out. Waterproof, have had no additional problems in those areas.

Product worked great but one star reduction for two issues; the silicon is not as "clear" as other similar products and the container is not designed for multiple uses. Even a thin layer dries to a milky white so the description of clear is a bit misleading. Silicon is also a very tricky product to work with if you do not use the entire container immediately when opened. Several other brands provide containers that seal well enough to use the left over product weeks or even months later. This particular container did not seal well so a left over screw had to be inserted in the nozzle to create a tight enough seal to prevent the remaining silicon from drying in the container.

Depending on the job need, I’ve used several of GE caulks, with typically quite good and long lasting results. This clear silicone is one I keep coming back to. Although I have the larger tubes that require a caulking gun I’m always doing small jobs that are much easier accomplished with a small 2.8 ounce tube. Keep in mind this tube is very small, though. Fine stuff at a fair price.

I used this around some outdoor light fixtures and it worked perfectly. I am extremely happy with the smaller sized tube, (DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME)as I was hanging out the rear door of a trailer, balanced precariously on a stepladder while applying this and that small size tube allowed me to uniformly apply it around the outer circumference of the light fixture with one hand, while I held onto the doorway with the other. A larger, calking gun application would have been impossible, under these circumstances.

I use clear silicone for almost everything, and always have a cartridge in the caulking gun. Sometimes though I just need a little dab, and this is much easier than pulling the plug or nail out of the tip of the drying-up cartridge. You know what I'm talkin about. The cap on this doubles as a stand, or you can hang it up on pegboard. It's silicone #2 and contains mold inhibitor so I don't use it on aquarium parts, but for everything else, vinyl, wood, metal, ceramic, plastic, concrete, glass, drywall, you name it, it'll stick to it. Oh, and this actually has kind of a pleasant smell for a change. Great stuff.

Best on the market for uses around the home. Applies better than other popular brands found at Home Depot (which I tried initially and didn't like) due to the improved consistency of the liquid and ease of application. I used this to seal 8 sconce lights to outdoor walls to keep dampness out of the lights and within the glass itself. Great product for this purpose.
