My 2.0 did not come with a side tank. Works perfectly!

Always have ice ready to go now with this tank.Take note: Refill this side tank before it runs out. If it runs dry, then you’ll get an air bubble in the line, and it won’t make ice until you work the bubble out. Avoid that by refilling tank before it runs out.

Bought this to replace the one we broke. Love this extra water tank keeps from filling up the reservoir after each use.

Bought this as a replacement and so far it is doing a good job. I got it on a 50% off deal. So the price was incredible.

Easy to attach, ge now includes this with the opal, but we already had our ice maker and it has greatly improved the experience. Makes it easier to fill and less time between fills.

If you don’t want to constantly refill the little reservoir underneath the ice drawer, this is a perfect addition to help prolong the refill task on the opal ice machine

Was concerned it would not be correct size. It fits perfectly and operates just as well! Great purchase!

I first purchased the ice maker from Best Buy and went the cheaper route by not getting the side tank. Once I realized that I would probably like the addition of the side tank, I went to Amazon and purchased it. It worked great the first time I installed it but with every refill, I was having issues where it wouldn’t pull from the side tank as it is meant. My hoses were not kinked and tank installed correctly. I would have to raise the tank and let air bubbles flow and water would go into reservoir. (Don’t raise too long or it (WILL) overfill reservoir.) After a lot of trial and error and frustration, it started functioning properly. On the final go-I left an inch or 2 of space when filling tank. Instructions say fill the tank abut I feel like the space I left allows for the air to escape enough to cause suction from tank into reservoir. Working like a charm! Sure beats constant filling of reservoir. I also purchased a rolling cart to allow it room to breath away from the wall and freeing up counter space. Removed one star for finicky fill from tank—read several others who shared same problem. Could have just been user error..?
