Things happen and this item was an out of the bag failure. However, even as defective, this is is non-returnable - non-refuindable by Amazon. I wasted $6 by not buying a returnable item...so off to Walmart I go...to pay $4 and, if it is defective I know I can return it.Even as a non-returnable item, an acceptation should be for defective purchases. This crap is just wrong.

Receive the jack and installed in in seconds. It works great and there are no problems. It took care of my need to connect two phone devices (phone and fax) to my router.

This item, Ge 26191 Duplex Wall Jack Adaptor (WHite, 4-conductor) was ordered in WHITE but I received a BEIGE adaptor. Since it works, I'll keep it despite it not matching the wall plate or the electrical outlet. At $4, it's honestly not worth my time and effort to return it.

It's a fantastic solution for when you need to connect the computer in different locations of the same room, and you only have one jack on the wall. It works very well, I didn't noticed any failure regarding connection stability. And it deserves the fifth star because of it's male connector, that attachs firmly on the wall.In this case, my wife has a notebook always turned on, but over the TV. A network cable goes from the wall to the PC, behind the furniture. But when she decides to sit down on the couch to work on her PC, is tedious to move it along with the cable. The solution: this RJ45 splitter allows to connect a second cable going to the couch (attached to the wall) and have an extreme at hand, so once sit, she just plug the cable and has connectivity again.Wifi? It's an option, but nothing like LAN cable to do heavy work.

Would definitely buy this again, it does the job perfectly, however it is a little flimsy with flex at the wall and I'm concerned that it may break over time, however, this is purely speculative. I will update if it does in fact break and that would bring down the rating, however for the time being its a great price and does exactly what it should, can't give it less than five stars for that.

Inexpensive and reliable quality product. One thing I missed (complately my fault) is that this will work only when connected into a wall socket. It does not work as a splitter from a telephone line cable. That is what I had originally bought it for but soon realized that this wasn't what I was looking for. Found another use for us in a different room and it has been working just fine.
