I decided to pick this up because I like to wash clothes by hand when I travel, instead of lugging around a massive bag. This device packs up easily and does exactly what it says it does (to my surprise). I had no trouble getting a few garments nice and dry after letting it run for a few hours—it’s automatic. The concept is the first I’ve seen, and it really works. It’s a clever and convenient solution for travel laundry.

Let me be frank. I absolutely love this thing so far!I live in an apartment building and do not have a washer/dryer in my unit. Each cycle on both washer and dryer are $2+ each. Sometimes I need to wash a smaller load, and I hate having to spend over $2 to dry such a small load. I try to air dry when time permits. But NO MORE! The GDXIEDING Portable Clothes Dryer makes it so that I can effectively dry my clothes in my apartment, saving money! It's portable, lightweight, and very easy to use. Once turned on, you are able to choose between low and higher heat cycles, and set a timer. If you choose not to set a timer, it will start at 480 minutes (8 hours) and tick downwards until 0... I don't recommend this unless you are going to set a separate timer for a custom time and manually turn the dryer off when you are ready.I have only used the L01 setting so far. There is a bar located inside of the dryer where you can hang the clothes from on hangers (do not use plastic hangers). The bar has notches sos that the hangers don't slide all over the place. The power cord is not very long, however, so if you don't have a place where you can hang the dryer that is close to the an outlet, I recommend getting an extension cord. This dryer even has a UV light inside to kill pathogens. At the current price of about $39, this is a steal and well worth the money.I highly recommend!

I live in an apartment where the building's laundry is always busy, and I hate going to the laundromat. This has really helped me get around this. I have a small washer (2.5 pounds of clothes) that will wash and spin my clothing really well, and as I live alone this is perfect for me. I'm also set up with a nice clothes-drying rack. --- I have had a couple of issues though with my present laundry setup; one being when I have to dry something larger such as a Queen-sized sheet and the other being when I need or want to clean and dry something ASAP. This has solved those problems nicely! I've hung this over my well-affixed, wall-mounted shower curtain rod, so that solves the problem of where to hang the dryer for me. I can simply wash and spin my laundry and then place whatever it is into the dryer, zip it up, and use the remote to set Lo1 or Lo2 heat level and the amount of time in 60-minute intervals up to 480 minutes. The interior of the dryer has a rod that's about 5 to 6 inches long that runs across the top, just under the heat vents, that you hang things from: I've actually got some hanger hooks (metal boot hanger clips that have a heatproof rubber protective coating where you grab the boot/material) that I hang from the rod and attach the clothes to. I then set the heat level and timer, I've mostly used the Lo1 setting and, so far, checked my items at 1-hour intervals as I'm just starting out and am being extra careful. After setting the heat level, I zip up the lightweight polyester-type covering that has holes in the bottom to allow the hot air to run through the clothes and somewhat out the bottom. So far, I've washed and dried, one piece at a time, two sets of thick microfiber Queen-sized sheets, heavy jeans, and a robe. One more little bonus is that because this is hanging in my bathroom, I can place other items on the clothes-drying rack and then shut the bathroom door and the hot air helps my other clothes to dry quickly - this will be especially useful in the colder months when it's hard to air dry clothes. The thing I like the least about this dryer is that there are four little V-shaped clips at the top of the polyester drying "sack" that hook into the actual drying portion of the dryer, and it can be challenging to re-hook them if the bottom of your clothes accidentally hit the interior bottom of the drying "sack." For a lot of people this won't be an issue at all; it's an issue for me as I'm using it to dry larger items so I have to be extra careful to not allow the clothes to heavily rest on (or slip out of my hands onto) the interior bottom of the drying "sack." I'm really glad I found this and would order again. (I'll add a picture of the interior of the sack and the hanging rod so hopefully that will help visualize the interior dryer for you.) Oh, two more things I’d like to add, it’s very quiet and, though I haven’t used it yet, it has UV light to kill bacteria.

I can see where this would have a lot of uses, especially for travel. I can see damp clothing being able to be dried while traveling. I put one jacket in and set it on low because of delicate fabric and the timer started at 60 minutes. After that time the jacket was damp dry. I believe if it were a shirt it would have been fully dry on low in half that time. The set up was very easy, right out of the box, open the top, let the cover down and plug it in. Unzip and hang your item (s) on the inner bar and start the machine. With the remote you can operate it or use the buttons on the dryer. Two drying temperatures and several timer settings. Bonus of a UV light function for disinfecting. The biggest challenge is finding a place to hang it up. The hook is in the middle and so you need somewhere that has enough clearance for it to hang straight down. It meant I had to buy a garment rack to hang it on and be able to get it near an outlet. I suppose you could get a pole that fits in a doorway where you could hang it but it would need to be near an outlet because the power cord is very short. This could be very challenging when you are traveling and try to find a place to hang this and have it near an outlet. You’ll have to see what and where you’d use it to see if it is something that fits your needs. I think it is a handy item to have around.

This works well for my swimsuits, tshirts, and my light shorts. Dries in a decent amount of time. Doesn’t take that much space in luggage but even less space in a closet. Not great with heavier clothes like jeans and jackets when damp but if you wanted to touch up it great.

All the reviews are accurate, gets the job done. Easy to hang, dries slightly damp clothes in about an hour. Recommended for RV/Studio apts. I use this in conjunction with a manu fill washer/spinner.
