I bought the first one as a test and worked well, the second one I ordered came cured in the bag and was unusable so $20 down the drain. Will change review to 5 star if I am sent a replacement for the second, and said replacement works as well as the first one.

The only bad part is the smell. But that was expected. Use as per the instructions and you get a rock solid patch.

We have a kayak at our beach house that got a 2"x3" hole in the tip. This product worked great. It was easy to apply and hardened quickly.

Great quality and easy to put on. Make sure to rough up, clean and prep to the surface you're putting it on. And give it time in the sun to allow UV to harden it. I tried hardening a similar patch but a different brand with a UV light and it seems like open air and sunlight is the way to go. Hope this helps.

Like others said. This product arrived with no adhesive backing. All the adhesive adhered to the removable backing. The product did not stick. I applied the product at night it did not cure until I applied a UV light in the morning. I rolled the product to try to get it to adhere with no luck. I pressed and smashed objects over the patch and it did not adhere at all. I believe the product is not a bad product it just need to be housed and shipped in a manor that doesn't not expose it to extreme heat so the adhesive backing can remain on the product. The company may want to ship adhesive so it can be applied when installing product. I can not recommend this product based on my personal experience and everyone that has left a review similar to mine. Beware you are taking a gamble when buying this product. I could work for you, but it didn't work for me and many others.

I think it is overpriced. It is easy to use though but getting gouged for convenience inst always a great feeling. Come on 3m give us a break already. You did essentially cause the Dupont issue. Remember?

It did not last a month. For the price I thought i would get away for at least one season. Now I will have to look for another solution.

When removing the protective seal from one patch the sticking agent came off with the seal making the patch useless

This product was easy to use. I recommend putting it on your item inside of your garage or shed then moving the item into the sunlight to cure because it will harden pretty quickly once exposed to sunlight. I applied it to my kayak in my dimly lit shed then placed it in the sun to cure. The patch was pliable during application and hardened quickly in the sunlight. It worked perfectly.

I have Airbnb's and used this on a canoe that got a hole worn in it from being dragged in and out of the river. Honestly, I didn't even sand it and it worked great. I went back to the property after many many renters and its still working fine. It's nice because, how the hell do you dispose of a giant canoe? Anyways, I'm here ordering patches to keep at my homes for guest to use in an emergency if a kayak gets a hole. Thought I'd share my experience. I think some of the bad reviews were because they let the sun hit the patch before they were ready. Get it molded into place before you let the sun hit it. I do think that the kayaks are slicker and therefore I would definitely sand them rough first.

This product was completely useless it didn’t stick at all to my kayak and was so inflexible I couldn’t even mold it to my keel. Complete waste of money! It doesn’t deserve even one star…
