Every connector leaked out of the box, some more than others. Leaks are internal to the body, more than likely poor quality seals/orings.Tossed them in the garbage not worth my time to return.

These are 1/4" NPT quick release couplers. These are the industrial version. I used 4 wraps of Teflon tape when installing them. No perceptible air leak. The quick release function works perfectly. The male adapter inserts perfectly. No air leak on this end either. These cost more than some others, but they work well and do not leak air.

I had issues with several of the fittings, they would not fit the male part of the coupler... 2 out of the 12 were bad, the ones I used seemed to be working ok...
