Brass Check Valve
Made of solid brass, rit has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high temperature ductility and low magnetic permeability.Prevent fluid backflow. Widely used in fuel/air/liquid/oil/gas, pipeline applications and connections, and can be used in various measuring devices and collectors.
Temperature Range
High hardness premium solid brass with thick wall, more durable than iron and iron galvanized pipe fittings. Premium brass can withstand up to 250°F.
Maximum Pressure
Made of high-quality brass, good toughness, strong impact resistance, and maximum working pressure of 200psi.

Precisely milled, threads are tighter and deeper, not easy to slip, smooth threads will reduce the resistance during installation.

As many others said, mine has poor threading and won't connect without leaking (despite teflon tape etc).Also, the direction of flow is backward from what I need. I assumed it would allow flow from female end toward male end (as you would use it with an outdoor faucet), but that's not what it does. I see now that the product listing doesn't indicate either way.

The valve spring seats the backflow prevention plate adequately, and is not adjustable for tension. The 1" NPT threads show damage after being cut, and numerous nicks show they rolled around in the parts bin and damaged the soft brass of the valve prior to being packaged and shipped. It probably would have threaded on ok with the provided teflon tape, but I chased out the threads and wiped out the brass shavings before installing on the inlet to a jet pump. The check valve is holding pressure well for my pump to not lose prime and it's not kicking back on from water backflowing to the tank.

Using correctly made male fittings with 12 wraps of teflon tape and teflon sealant, the check valve would not seal - it dripped water. I even sanded about 1/8" off the bottom of one of the copper fittings just to test and see if not bottoming out would work and it still leaked. I had even worse threaded issues with a 3 way ball valve I ordered 6 months ago. The valve was beautiful, but the threads were way oversize and there was no way all 3 ports would seal. I was able to use the valve because I was using solder fittings anyway, so I soldered the threaded fittings into the threaded ports of the valve. I needed this check valve to turn, so I could not solder the fittings in - China needs to use "go-no go" gauges during manufacture!
