Finally got fed up fighting with these newer gas cans and their almost non usable spouts. This fixed them all. Decent quality plastic should last awhile and cheap enough to replace if they don't.

Works as intended and makes pouring gas into my tractor and generators easy. Fits any size gas can because it comes with fine and course threaded fittings. Plastic is thicker than others I've seen in my local store.

These work great for the newer gas cans that have the smaller openings. I have put them on several cans instead of the new safety nozzles which can be a bit of a Rubik's cube. I did find that they won't work on older gas cans because the diameter of the openings is significantly larger.

I bought this about a year ago and upgraded three gas cans. Never used it until the recent storm. I agree with all the reviews - it works great, gas flows much more quickly. It’s not spilling out like an uncontrollable flood, but is a very steady flow. Previously my cans had no air vent, so it made bubbling noises similar to a water cooler. No longer. I was shocked how quickly I was able to pour out 4.5 gallons of gas. Holding a gas can with several gallons of fluid is not really heavy, but to me it’s a bulky can that needs to be held at an awkward angle. Now it is still bulky but I come off with no fatigue or annoyance since it’s so fast.I have three gas cans, so I should have done A/B testing to see if just upgrading the air vent only would increase the performance. Regardless I’m happy with the results.I had a concern that the air vent would not form a tight seal after installation. After filling a can and leaving it full, the next day turning the cap I felt the pressure release and the air escape sound, so I feel good that the closed air vent is air tight. Closing the air vent requires a nice push and gives a nice clicking sound with positive feedback so you know it’s closed.I still have a problem with a tiny bit of gas left in the container which I can never fully get out. That’s not the fault of this product, it’s inherent to the design all of these gas cans.I also has a concern that the drilling would put plastic shavings into the can which would then mix with the gas. I’m not concerned since cars have fuel filters, and my generator has a mesh screen for the fuel as well. I don’t suppose the plastic shavings will break down and dissolve in the can, since plastic cans do not break down. I did put painters tape over the spot before drilling to make a neater hole. I don’t know if that helped to reduce shavings. I suppose I could have rinsed out the containers with water, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of that, and since I have tiny amounts of gas in my cans, I have no place to spill out the diluted mixture. If I were purchasing new gas cans I would rinse them out with water before putting in gas the first time.Installation was simple. The kit came with extra parts for fitting multiple can types. I’m sure the other parts would work well with other types of cans.

This is the best set up to replace the old worn out leaking junky ones. Keeps it simple as well. The set comes with everything and I mean everything needed. Both sets of thread end caps. Love the tip cap cover so you don’t have to put the funnel into the can each time. The kit comes with the bit to drill the additional vent on the back of the can to add to the flow of the fuel. Just drill and press in the vent. Fits perfect and you don’t have to search your set for the right size that is always missing and then you have to go to the store to get the right size after you tried to make it work with other sizes. Love that it comes with the right one to begin with.Save time and money with the kit all in one. I ordered 2 sets to get all my cans up to par for the time being. Will probably order a few more kits to have on hand for future cans I will end up getting over time.
