I've been an electronic technician for over 40 years. In all that time I've used thousands of electronic devices. This is by far the easiest, most intuitively laid out, product I've ever used. Turn it on by holding the button that says power. Once it comes on, select new session, select mode (rifle, pistol, bow, air rifle or other), select velocity range (subsonic or super sonic), enter the projectile weight, a picture then shows you where to place it relative to the muzzle and then it's ready to measure the velocity. No need to calibrate it. No need to trigger it. Just start shooting and it will tell you the velocity. Once done, hit the back button and end session. If you've connected your phone, the data will just show up in the app. No need to sync or send the data, it just happens.Truly an amazing device. All other chronometers pale in comparison.

All my shooting partners leave their old clunky chronos at home now and we just use this one. It is perfect. Small, reliable, works great. Would never buy anything else.

Around 40 years ago I designed and manufactured an industrial grade chronograph and there have been several similar copies offered for sale over the years since. You know, these are the chronographs that sit on a tripod out in front of the muzzle. As far as I'm concerned this Garmin chronograph obsoleted all of the currently offered chronographs, including my old design. It's more expensive than the competitors but well worth it. It sets up in a flash and never misses a shot. It pairs to my phone and transfers all the data to my phone and I can edit the files in my phone as I please. I even chronographed a friend's .45 load and emailed him the CSV file for his records. Plus, this chronograph is so small that it tucks into my shooting bag and you barely even notice it's there. I really can't see how a chronograph could be any better. Buy one, you won't be sorry.

I got the item delivered. Disappointing that I paid for a brand new product and received everything used..... The main item works as it should... For now...Everything else is used and you can tell. Open boxes. Broken tabs. Residue on the items... Would be a miracle if I can get refunded a portion of the price for everything being sent used.......

This chronograph is accurate, very easy you setup and easy to carry. It does not factor downrange B.C. It can also be hard to read in certain light.

I've been a sport shooter for 50 years and I have never seen a leap in technology like this chronograph. It makes all other chronographs "old hat". It is quick and easy to use and never misses a beat. It is truly amazing and definitely one of the best pieces of shooting equipment I have purchased in years. If you need more evidence check out all of the great reviews currently on YouTube. Its worth every penny.

Best feature is setup doesn't require going downrange to check, reposition, whatever. Some reviewers are critical of the bluetooth/phone setup, but the main menu allows you to ignore the phone setup. For older types (like moi) pen and paper works fine. The unit is essentially weightless. No failures to read, no spurious readings from adjacent positions. The ProChrono is staying for purposes of shotgun velocity measurements, but this Garmin is now my go-to for everything else.I compared readings to those from the ProChrono set about 8 feet from muzzle. The Garmin readings were between 5 and 10 fps higher.Battery drain is significant if left on for extended periods. Suggest either a) turning off between strings or, b) use the Power One external battery.
