Pros: Long enough to fit most standard size garage doors. Medium duty thickness. Durability (unknown yet) will have to see how well it holds up to sun/uv exposure. Easy to install if your door has the slot on the bottom for it (mine did).Cons: Ends are not sealed so it just squishes flat but not a show stopper as most of them are made like this anyway.Summary: Good seal and most likely works much better than that sad excuse for a seal you currently have on your garage door.

I got this to replace the strip that was on the house we just bought that wasn't taken care of properly. This strip was easy to install and the material is thick enough to be considered sturdy in my book. This strip is also high enough to form a pretty good seal, this little DIY job was easy enough and looks great.

This is a well-made seal. The long hollow center gives it extra insulation. I tested it against some house doors. It has surprisingly soft and pliable rubber, which allows it to fit into crevices and provide a better seal.I have a glass garage door, and unfortunately this weather seal does not fit on my door. I should have looked at my own garage door before purchasing. I did look at the instructions and design, and it's clear how it fits onto a regular garage door.

I chose this since it would be the most likely gasket to fit my totally unknown 42 year-old garage door conduit. My conduit was not exactly meant for a P-tube, but I made this work. I installed, removed, and remounted two of these (across a 9-foot garage door bottom) *5 times* using different tools.... jamming it, poking it, twisting it, shoving it, and in several different configurations until I came up with the best mount for my conduit, That's how I can tell these are pretty sturdy and can take a beating - I put these through hell several times and I didn't puncture or rip any part of the seals during that 3-day ordeal. Although my garage door was not meant for a P-tube seal, I still insist it was best (and probably ONLY) solution for the existing, non-removable conduit on the bottom of my garage door.Lay it out as flat as you can when you unroll it and leave it like that for a day or three. II also used a heat gun to make it lay flat at first and to loosen it up since it was 20 degrees when it arrived. This makes it straighter for an easier install without it flopping around and curling up on you when you go to thread it (it comes rolled up flat as a 12" wide disc that's about 4" wide disc for ease of shipping, but not ideal for the installer)..

when I recently purchased a home, I knew I would have to address the garage and the lack of warm air inside or should I say the cold air sneaking in. On very cold nights I realized there was something wrong for the garage to be so cold even though there was no heating element inside. I wanted to see what I was able to DIY to make it a little more bearable to go in there when I had to. The first place I looked was at the garage bottom and the seal from the door to the ground.Upon closer examination to that area, I came to realize that the retainer was broken toward one of the ends. The previous owner had tried to simply double up on the weatherstrip, but the strip seemed to curve upward leaving a large gap between the door seal and the ground, allowing cold air to continuously come into the garage unabated.I decided that this was something I could fix myself but needed a new aluminum retainer as well as a new strip. I measured appropriately and then decided to order this P bulb seal strip to attach to the outer part of a T retainer for extra seal and barrier from the outside. I first, measured everything to make sure i could accommodate the garage correctly in regard to both length and thickness of the door. This seal strip is quite good, and I can immediately see that its composition is of really good quality material. Thick but flexible and as soon as I inserted it into the retainer slot (using some oil to slide to easier), and tried closing the door to see if it would seal that gap, I spoke of earlier, I found that it had.Very easy to install as long as you are using the correct retainer that has the appropriate slot, it's an easy DIY all day long. This seal strip has a good buoyance, and the flexibility is great for creating a nice tight seal while also acting as a buffer for when the door comes down to the ground. For the price, this product helped solve my problem, in that, when running my hand over the threshold I feel barely any air coming through if at all! Love that it has good thick rubber layers and priced very well for the amount you get!

Got this product as my garage’s current bottom liner for the door was too worn and has been letting in very cold winter air. My door is technically for the U-shaped model, but with the rounded edges (hard to find both since older garage door design). Got this product since despite being only one fitting edge, it had the correct rounded/beaded edge. Unfortunately, the edge was too large for my door’s insert. Despite that, I was able to slip it in between the door frame itself, and it worked surprisingly well. The door closes much more securely, giving an air-tight seal along the bottom.
