The product is sturdy but has some flexibility to it. My garage door varies a little from panel to panel and this weatherstripping allowed me to push it in a little when the surface of the door was further from the jamb without buckling or misshaping.

I bought this to close some gaps on the sides of my garage doors. The material was pretty stiff, so after cutting it into the correct lengths, I laid it out flat in reverse under some weights for about 24 hours. Then before putting it up, I laid it out again (under weights) for five hours or so in the sun. Attaching it was easy and it creates a tight seal without impeding the garage doors when operating. I used another brand before (bought at Lowes), but it disintegrated after only a year--probably a combination of the cold winters in upstate New York and full sun in the summer. This seems much more sturdy and the rubber should last longer.

I NEVER write reviews, but I liked this product and would like to pass along my learning curve.1. Unroll and let the insulation strip heat in the sun to get the curve relaxed.2. Measure twice, cut once, the three lengths according to your garage3. Do your math and mark the points where you want to place the support screws and drill the holes. I used a 7/64 drill bit.4. Stick the weather stripping by removing the red adhesive protector small section by section, using a level to keep the stripping straight.5. Once the stripping has been stuck to the facing, then insert the screws. Tight but not so tight that it distorts the stripping.6. For additional support, I put 2 white paneling nails in the middle between the screws (see pic)7. My Daddy taught me to love mitered corners, which I cut early in the process (see pic). I cannot undo it. I would have been much better and energy efficient if I had NOT mitered the corners. The square ends would have looked better and been more energy efficient.I WOULD REORDER AGAIN IF I WERE DOING A SECOND GARAGE DOOR!

This was fairly easy to install - you do need to follow directions about unrolling in the sun.It is sealing in my garage from weather, heat and bugs. This would have been a 4-5 star except for the package of screws and caps.I had the same issues as other reviewers regarding adhesion - which would have been fine if there were enough screws. There are not enough. By a long shot. I had extra footage I didn't use and there weren't enough. And I needed those screws to overcome the weak adhesive.Quite a few screws were - well - they weren't screws. There were no threads. Fairly important identity crisis for parts calling themselves screws. Then there were the caps. Which you need. Which you have even less of than the screws that aren't all screws.I can find screws. I can't find caps. We shouldn't have to find either.Which is where you get to call amazon and labor through 3-4 minutes of the computer voice. When you finally reach a human - you discover they will credit you $10 which doesn't quite cover the tax."I just need 2 more packs of screws and caps - one of each color."(Yes - both orders came with threadless screws, not enough screws and not enough caps - so the manufacturer unilaterally has decided you don't need screws or caps for 30% of their own pre-drilled holes- to save money? - FYI - not a great strategy)Kindly, the rep determined the only fix is to send me full replacement boxes for each color. Then I will take out the 2 screw and cap plastic baggies. Then I drive to the return center, cause I have all the time in the world, and return the 2 boxes minus the screws and caps packages, so I can complete the work on my garage doors using the fast, simple process of ordering through amazon. So this is a pretty great product, except for the adhesive.Which wouldn't matter IF you had enough threaded screws and caps.Fix that and it will be great.

Very thick & stiff. Sunburned real bad from SW expisure in the desert SW. The 20 year old seal wasnt even sunburned, just cracked & broken.Plastic screw covers break caps off real easy. Really too wide (1 1/8") cuz it hits the windows as it goes up & down. So haveing to trim it in place, was hard cuz its so thick therefore its quite a sloppy trim with scissors. It buckles on the top cuz the sticky back is worthless. Had to glue it. Spray painted it with tractor primer. We shall see.

Don’t use the screws included with these, they break with the most minimal torque leaving a screw half sticking out.The material of the trim is good. The trim is a durable quality that is flexible, but ridged enough to ensure a clean straight edge. They make a good seal around the edges and my garage is noticeably better at regulating temperature. I tried a few different kinds and liked these the most because of the straight edges. These probably could be painted, but the white is nice and matches well with alabaster white color.Put these up when it’s warm. The trim is rolled up when shipped and needs to be laid in the sun for about 30 minutes to warm up and flatten out. When you are cutting them, cut the silicon flap with a box cutter and use pruning shears to snap through the thicker part easy.I installed it myself in about an hour, it actually took a little longer because a few screw heads broke off and I had to pry them out. Mine broke even with pre-drilled holes. The adhesive is strong and can hold the weight of the trim while you drill and screw them in. It made installation much easier. You can pull the trim off and readjust without the glue peeling off the trim. Just make sure you clean the surface first to make it stick better.I didn’t like the look of the white screw covers that are supposed to mask the screws. It looked better just with the screws flush against the trim.

It does what it is supposed to do but will not work without the screws. Not meant for a 8ft x 9ft will have lots left over.

This was used to weatherstrip around sides and top of standard size garage doors The picture we saw looked like it had a white solid piece that you screwed into but was a glued backing on the flat part of rubber stripping In order to keep the rubber from rippling need a second pair of hands to hold it down flat to be screwed on. Excellent quality of rubber though. It does its job.

I order this garage seal online and was delievered in a timely mannar. The good news is that it did arrive, the quality slightly less than expected and the price I paid feels a lot for the quality.Highlights:1) The length was not provided on the box, so had to measure it all to see if it is enough to the three sides of the garage.2) The self adhesive face is useless. Cannot stick to anything. Very weak adhesion for a very heavy and tough material. I used liquid nail to hold it in place! A good trick also to seal the gap between the seal and the wall.3) The screws provided are too short to hold it in place would be better with slightly longer screen. I ended up using longer ones.If the price is 50% less and longer screws with stronger adhesive face, I would have given in it 5 out of 5.
