It's is easy to mix and dissolve in water. I feel more hydrate with it then drinking water. The flavor is great.

This electrolyte-replacing water supplement from Gallaghers is a terrific product for those of us whose horses are active in hot environments, don't make an effort to drink sufficient water or are prone to dehydration. We notice the difference that electrolyte products make for us humans and it seems to have similar properties with horses.The taste is not an issue...not sure what it tastes like (as it does not contain any artificial flavorings) but our two horses both drink it without hesitation. We keep the bag in the trailer and add it to their water bucket after trail rides, which helps keep them hydrated and feeling good for the trailer trip back to the barn which can be a hot lengthy ordeal at times. As the horses tend to be kept in their stalls during this intense heat we've been experiencing, we selectively use this product only when needed and not as part of their regular routine. There are times where you just know your horse is spent and dragging and this is great for those situations.I can't think of any negatives to share. Our horses love this, it's purportedly all-natural and we feel good knowing we're helping them stay hydrated.

Waited for a really hot day to try this. To make sure horses hydrated. I added three scoops to a couple gallons. So it was very diluted, not the recommended scoop per gallon, but it did the trick. At first the horses didn’t want it. Hovered above it, checked it out, moved to a different trough.About half an hour later though they were all guzzling it.

Central Texas has had all of the extremes in weather lately. Hard freezes, multiple days below zero and summers well above 100 degrees. Keeping horses hydrated in extreme conditions is hard, especially older horses. Gallaghers Water is nice because it can be fed during extreme condition or travel. When we have a horse that we are worried about colicing, this is a great "treat" to keep horses drinking. My horses like the taste and drink it right up.This is also now a staple in my horse trailer for traveling. I have one horse that doesn't like the taste of water not from home. This keeps the horse drinking even when we are away from home. I would order again!

The bag it came in is flimsy; the shipping box had no damage and neither did anything else in the box (including a glass item) but the bag had two small holes. My horse also didn't care for it much. She took a couple mouthfuls, then immediately went to her normal fresh water to drink, and wouldn't drink any more of the gallaghers mix. It smelled good, and could be a matter of personal preference. I'll try it again on a hotter day, but I'm not sure if that will make a difference.

Hello friends, I selected this gallagher's water for an elder dog.It was suggested that this product might help an elder dog drink water. I was careful to mix out the correct amount into a gallon and tried giving it to him. He smelled it and even tried it but just walked away. It was a good college try. My neighbors have horses so I plan to give it to them for a go. So not all is lost.

I truly cannot speak highly enough about Gallagher's water. I am a big skeptic when it comes to trying new products with my beloved heart horse of 18 years, when I heard of Gallagher's water, I began doing some research into the ingredients used in overall product line itself. It is with great confidence that I can say I gave this to my horse. I had expected him to possibly turn his nose up at it but to my delight, my horse stood in front of my porch and drank every drop like it was a smoothie for us humans!This is my absolute go-to for the upcoming dreaded Texas heat that we all will face. Whenever my horse has not consumed enough water, I.e during the rain and bouts of cold, this is my immediate and hands down go for proper water consumption.
