Note: There are some print head that can be loaded with Sherpa gears, but due to the size and tolerance gap, you can squeeze the large black gear to move the position or add a gasket on the shaft to align the filament entrance. If you're knowledgeable about mechanical design, it doesn't hurt to make it a part of your stock extruder.

I bought this kit expecting to supply printed parts to complete a Sherpa Mini extruder. I figured that at worst I would have to supply some standard heat set inserts and some machine screws.Nope, this kit comes with some of the bearings needed to build an extruder, but not all of them. You'll need to supply the machine screws, heat set inserts, a couple bearings, and a spring. This stuff really should have been included for $25 IMHO. Bare minimum, the listing should mention the additional parts needed to complete the extruder.Also, the pictures make it look like the big gear is metal. It isn't. It is plastic. A plastic gear is fine, but make it in a color where it is obvious that it is not metal.

The gear was not press fit on straight and true. Wobbles and binds on every rotation.
